Logic dictates that something—or someone—always had to exist. Assume it was a “someone,” not a “something.” Why would such a being create a world like ours, one filled with pain? The Advent of Time provides a definitive answer.

Joel Spolsky’s insights highlight the strategic power of the freemium model—build massive user adoption through free access and monetize the high-value users who can’t live without the product. This approach not only democratizes access but also creates a self-sustaining business model. By making Copilot free, he could have built a broader user base, eventually targeting enterprise-level customers with premium features.

That is all great in theory, but it also misses how many of these products are created that: - Focus on purely getting huge not paying customer base - Uses that customer base to look for a buyer for a ridiculous amount of money - New owner tries to figure out how to monetize which starts breaking the product - Product is shutdown and users get left stranded

My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. Part of the experience when visiting a new area is the street food but it’s becoming more and more a chore avoiding places like this.

.Daily Caller’s Reagan Reese: “Your Director of National Counterterrorism, Joe Kent — he just resigned today. He said he can’t support your conflict with Iran. What’s your reaction to that? And did you —” President Trump: “Well, I read his statement. I always thought it was a nice guy, but I always thought he was weak on security, very weak on security. I didn’t know him well, but I thought he seemed like a pretty nice guy, but when I read a statement, I realized that it’s a good thing that he’s out because he said that Iran was not a threat. Iran was a threat — every country realized what a threat Iran was. The question is whether or not they wanted to do something about it. And many people, many of the greatest military scholars are saying for years that presidents should have taken out Iran because they wanted a nuclear weapon. They were — if we didn’t do the attack or if I’ll go a step further, if I didn’t terminate the Iran nuclear deal given to us, one of the worst deals ever made by Barack Hussein Obama. Remember when they sent Boeing 757 over there loaded with cash, hundreds of millions of dollars? You would have been very happy. This was a wonderful — they sent hundreds of million — people forget that. Does anybody remember, right? You remember! Hundreds of millions of dollars in a Boeing 757. I think they had two of them loaded. They took the seats out and they put cash. And it was so much that there wasn’t a bank in Virginia, Maryland, or DC that had any money left. They stripped them of all their money, put it into planes, sent it to Iran almost as ransom. That’s not going to happen with Trump. And nobody ever did anything about it. Nobody ever said anything. Can you imagine if I did that? So, they’ve been a threat for a long time, but they’ve really been a threat. If — if I didn’t terminate Obama’s horrible deal that he made, the Iran nuclear deal, you would have had a nuclear war four years ago. You would have had — you would have had nuclear holocaust, and you would have had it again if we didn’t bomb the site. So, when somebody is working with us that says they didn’t think Iran was a threat, we don’t want those people because — and there are some people, I guess, that would say that, but they’re not smart people or they’re not savvy people. Iran was a tremendous threat. And virtually every NATO nation — and this is the thing, if they told me it wasn’t a threat and therefore they don’t want to help, but when they say it was a threat and it was a major threat — every one of them — I think every one of them — I don’t know of one that said they’re not a threat, but when they say it was a threat, but we’re not going to help, I think they’re very foolish. You know, it’s interesting. It’s interesting because I could say this, that what’s happening in Ukraine, we’re probably in there for $400 billion. We don’t spend any money anymore. They buy it from us and they pay full price. But Biden gave them between 350 and $400 billion of equipment and cash. Someday, they’ll have to find out about the cash, and you could say that wasn’t a threat. You know, we’re helping them, so we helped them and they didn’t help us. And I think that’s a very bad thing for NATO.”

Jaylen Brown says he used the NBA Players Association instead of hiring an agent for the NBA Draft because they're paid to help players “When I entered the draft, I didn't have an agent. I'm probably the highest picked selected ever that didn't enter with an agent. When I was evaluating, I went through the whole process and sat with a bunch of people, and what they was offering I ain't really need. It was kind of already slotted, so I leaned on the union a lot more” “A lot of the agents came and was like, ‘Yeah, we'll move you to L.A. We'll get you a trainer, put some money in your pocket,’ and I was like, ‘For what? Do I gotta give the money back?’ They was like, ‘Nah, but standard agent fee is 4%.’ I'm starting to do the math, and a house, car, and all that, whatever he was offering, is a lot less than what 4% would have been” “Long story short, the math wasn't mathing for me. I ended up being the third pick. I think because I came in like that, a lot of people, I think it was the agents, they tried to slander my name a little bit, put it in the media that he's too this, he's too that. Ended up backfiring. It all worked out in the end” “With the union, we pay dues. All the players in the NBA pay dues. We all pay like $10,000 out of our salary that goes to hiring lawyers, hiring staff, CEO, everything that you need to lead a company that works for us. So all of that is our resources that we all pay for, that we agree to. Once I learned that, I just started using it” “I'm talking about you can get private investigations done. They give referrals for financial advisors. All type of stuff. Foundation wise, health insurance, whatever you need. They have a liaison that's paid to make sure that you get it done. So I put it on their desk like, ‘I need you to get this done.’ And they do because that's their job”

Gray TV’s Jon Decker: “Next week, you have a very important meeting with President Xi in Beijing. Secretary Bessent has said that a top priority on the agenda will be Iran. What do you hope to achieve with President Xi as it relates to Iran?” President Trump: “Well, I have a very good relationship with President Xi. You know, I find it to be a tremendous guy. And we get along well. And you see how we do. We’re doing a lot of business with China and making a lot of money. We’re making a lot of money. It’s different than it used to be. But I’ll be talking about it. That’ll be one subject. But he’s been very nice about this. You know, in all fairness, he gets like 60% of his oil from Hormuz. And he’s been — I think he’s been very respectful. We haven’t been challenged by China. They don’t challenge us, and he wouldn’t do that. I don’t think he’d do that because of me. But I think he’s been very respectful. And we’ve offered, you know, if he wants to send the ships to the United States — I think one of the big things that’s happened is I made a statement. Send your — send your ships to Texas. It’s not that much further. Send your ships to Louisiana. Send your ships to Alaska. Alaska is actually very close to a lot of the Asian countries. People don’t realize it. You know, Japan is back and forth. It’s like it doesn’t seem it, but it’s a very short route, two days shorter than almost any other route. We’re making tremendous big deals with South Korea and with Japan. But I said, send your ships. All of a sudden, I don’t know if you saw the graph today. And this is Space Force, which I created — Space Force has — they just sent out some photos of the ships that are lined up all the way down the ocean like, like, it’s a highway. It looks like the Long Island Expressway for ships, and they’re all heading to Texas. Louisiana. We’ve made up this. And that’s why when I — when I decided that I have to do this for the good of the world, not just the United States, in a way, we would have been in less trouble than a lot of other places. Certainly, the Middle East would have been blown up. There wouldn’t be a Middle East anymore. They would have controlled. They would have taken over the Middle East. Now — now they’re trying to survive, and they won’t be successful unless they make a deal. They don’t make a deal. They won’t be successful. It’ll go very quickly and methodically. Believe me, it’ll be very easy. But we have so many alternatives. It’s amazing. And nobody knew this, you know, because as an example, Japan got 90 percent of their oil — or their — most of their energy, but most of their oil from the Hormuz Strait. South Korea got 43 percent of it, by the way, their ship was shot at. They were not in the cavalcade of ships they had. They decided to go it alone, and their ship got the hell knocked out of it yesterday. But they didn’t shoot the ships that were guarded by us, I’ll tell you that. We knocked down a lot of missiles. So, what happens is that we have a situation where we have total control. As you know, the blockade has been amazing. It’s like a piece of steel. Nobody’s going to challenge the blockade. And I think it’s working out very well. We’re going to see I can say this. Iran wants to make a deal. What I don’t like about Iran is they’ll talk to me with such great respect, and then they’ll go on television, they’ll say, we did not speak to the President. We did not. I just spoke to them. We did not speak to the President. So, they play games. But let me just tell you, they want to make a deal. And who wouldn’t? When your military is totally gone, we could do anything we want to them. Who wouldn’t?”

WATCH: Very newsy exchange at the White House Tuesday afternoon between President Trump and CBS’s Ed O'Keefe about Iran, revealing the U.S. was gifted “a present” from whatever remains of the new/old Iranian regime that is “oil and gas related”.... President Trump: “Do you have another question? You haven’t been here in a while.” O’Keefe: “Well, on Iran, can you give us any more sense of who exactly in Iran it is, either Witkoff or Kushner you’re speaking with?” Trump: “Yeah. We had — I hate to say this in front of these young people — they’re not children. I spoke to most of them. They sound like adults to me. Even though they are sort of children, right? They’ll always be your children. But I hate to say it, but we killed all their leadership. And then they met to choose new leaders, and we killed all of them. And now, we have a new group and we can easily do that. But let’s see how they turn out. It’s — we have, really, regime change. You know, this is a change in the regime because the leaders are all very different than the ones that we started off with that created all those problems. So this was — I think we can say, Jason, this is regime change, right?” O’Keefe: “What makes you trust them?” Trump: “I don’t trust anybody. I don’t trust you. I mean, that’s only because I know you, but if I didn’t know you, I’d probably have more trust. But I don’t trust anyone.” O’Keefe: “Why bother talking to them?” Trump: “Why do you — why do you say that? Why do you say what makes you — do you think I trust them? I don’t trust them.” O’Keefe: “Then why bother talking to them?” Trump: “Because they’re going to make a deal. They’re going to make a deal. They did something yesterday that was amazing. Actually. They gave us a present. And the president arrived today and it was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money. And I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize. And they gave it to us, and they said they were going to give it, so that meant one thing to me. We’re dealing with the right people —” O’Keefe: “Was it nuclear related.” Trump: “No, it wasn’t nuclear related. It was oil and gas related. And it was a very nice thing they did. But what it showed me is that we’re dealing with the right people because, you know, you don’t know because the leadership was killed, all gone. Khamenei, all gone. As the expression goes, the past Supreme Leader and then the new Supreme Leader was racked up at a minimum, racked up pretty good, and everyone else was gone. And then many of the people in the third tier are gone. But we’re dealing with a group of people that I think turn out and the — the present, the gift they made to us was very significant. And they said they were going to do it and it happened. And they’re the only ones that could have done it.”

Here is the actual GOP candidate for President of the United States attempting to say something about Mark Zuckerberg which is literally all I can figure out from this 90-SECOND LONG SENTENCE. 😵‍💫 “So Mark Zuckerberg called me first of all he called me a few times she called me after the event that he said that was really amazing it was very brave and you know and he actually announced he's not going to support a Democrat because he can't because he respected me for what I did that day I think what I did maybe was a norm to me it was a normal response but I was called by Mark Zuckerberg yesterday the day before on this same subject and he actually apologized he said they made a mistake etc etc in the correcting mistake a Google nobody called from Google one of the things I do in a show like yours you you show you know you see them Fox but what you really see it is all over the place they take clips of your show that you're doing right now with me and if I do a good job they're going to vote for me they're going to vote for me because it's not just on Fox it's on Fox is a smaller part of it you're on all over this those little beautiful cell phones you're on you're all over the place you have a product you have a great product you have a great brand so you have to get out you have to get out you have to do things like your show and other shows and Google has been very bad they've been very irresponsible and I have a feeling that Google isn't going to be close to shut down because I don't think Congress is going to take it I really don't think so Google has to be careful now I will say this I believe Mark Zuckerberg he called me so he called me a lot they are working and I think they fixed it but what can he's not doing what he did four years ago with the five hundred million dollars I don't believe.”

President Trump just delivered a glowing two-minute address to the Chinese delegation in Beijing. He praised President Xi Jinping as a “great leader” and vowed to have a fantastic future together. TRUMP: “That was an honor like few have ever seen before.” “And I think I was particularly impressed by those children. They were happy. They were beautiful.” “You and I have known each other now for a long time. In fact, the longest relationship of our two countries that any president and president has had, and that’s to me, an honor.” “We’ve had a fantastic relationship. We’ve gotten along. When there were difficulties, we worked it out.” “I would call you and you would call me. And whenever we had a problem, people don’t know, whenever we had a problem, we worked it out very quickly, and we’re going to have a fantastic future together.” “Such respect for China, the job you’ve done.” “You’re a great leader. I say it to everybody. You’re a great leader. Sometimes people don’t like me saying it, but I say it anyway because it’s true. I only say the truth.” “And I just want to say, on behalf of all of the great delegation that we have, we have the greatest businessmen, the biggest, and I guess the best in the world.” “We have amazing people and they’re all with me. Every single one of them. We asked the top 30 in the world. Every single one of them said yes. And I didn’t want the second or the third in the company. I wanted only the top.” “And they’re here today to pay respects to you and to China.” “And they look forward to trade and doing business. And it’s going to be totally reciprocal on our behalf.” “So I really look very much forward to our discussion. It’s a big discussion. There are those that say this is maybe the biggest summit ever.” “They can never remember anything like it. It’s I can say in the United States, it’s people aren’t talking about anything else.” “But it’s an honor to be with you, it’s an honor to be your friend.” “And the relationship between China and the USA is going to be better than ever before.” Trump is laying the groundwork for a major breakthrough with China.

Trump: I think it’s very sad, actually. I’m surprised that it wasn’t—you know—the public wasn’t notified a long time ago, because to get to stage 9, that’s a long time. I just had my physical. You saw that. You saw the results of that particular test. I think that test is standard to pretty much anybody getting a physical—a good physical. We had the doctors at the White House and over at Walter Reed, which is a fantastic hospital, do it. I did a very complete physical, including a cognitive test. I’m proud to announce I aced it. I got them all right. You proud of me? Your husband would be proud of me for getting them all right. It’s a little risk. If I didn’t get them all right, these people would be after me. It would be not a good situation. But I think, frankly, anybody running for president should take a cognitive test. They say it’s unconstitutional, but I would say in that particular case, having a cognitive test wouldn’t be so bad. But when you take tests—medical, as a male—that test is very standard. I don’t know if it’s given to everybody, but it’s given just about. And it takes a long time to get to that situation… to get to a stage 9. I think that if you take a look, it’s the same doctor that said that Joe was cognitively fine, there was nothing wrong with him. If it’s the same doctor, he said there was nothing wrong there. That’s been proven to be a sad situation. And the autopen is becoming a very big deal. You know, the autopen is becoming a big deal because it seems that maybe it was the president—whoever operated the autopen. But when they say that was not good, they also—you have to look and you have to say that the test was not so good either. In other words, there are things going on that the public wasn’t informed [about], and I think somebody is going to have to speak to his doctor—if it’s the same or even if it’s two separate doctors. Why wasn’t the cognitive ability—why wasn’t that discussed? And I think the doctor said he’s just fine, and it’s turned out that’s not so. It’s very dangerous… this is dangerous for our country. Look at the mess we are in. You talk about all these questions on Ukraine and Russia. That would’ve never happened, as an example, if I were president. It would’ve never happened. The other thing—you have to say: Why did it take so long? I mean, this takes a long time. It can take years to get to this level of danger. It’s a very, very sad situation. I feel very badly about it. And I think people should try and find out what happened. Because I’ll tell you, I don’t know if it had anything to do with the hospital. Walter Reed is really good. They’re some of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. I don’t even know if they were involved. But a doctor was involved in each case. Maybe it was the same doctor. And somebody is not telling the facts. That’s a big problem.

One of the most astonishing attempts at projecting grandiose delusions I’ve ever seen—“so [Obama] tried to bribe them to make a deal… 1.7 billion in cash was put on a Boeing…” Trump bribed Iran with $324 billion. And got nothing for it. “And the main thing is that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. They fully agreed to that with strong policing powers, and they won't have nuclear weapons, which is what I was all about, because they probably would have used it if they had it. So we had two big moments when they terminated the JCPOA, that was the Obama deal, the Barrack Hussein Obama deal, and when I terminated that, it was very important because it was a road to a nuclear weapon. It was a horrible deal for the United States. It was a deal where billions of dollars was given to Iran. It was a deal where 1.7 billion in cash was put on a Boeing 7, well, not a 7, 7, 57, I guess, right? But it was put on a big, beautiful Boeing 757. They needed a Boeing 747 to be honest with you, because it was a lot of cash. 1.7 billion was taken out of the banks and given to Iran, and on top of that, tens of billions of dollars was made. So they tried to bribe them to make a deal that didn't work. It never works. And that we lived on a great job, and hopefully it's going to be a good relationship, and we're going to get along. And if we don't, we go back to where we started, but I don't know if it's going to be necessary. The Iran deal that we made is going to bring a lot of success to the world, because the oil was really plugged up there for a while. They would call me on occasion, "See, come on, please. Let's go." The oil prices. But the oil is coming way down.”

FNC Boaster: “These events are, as you can probably imagine, quite tiring. We go from the upper bracket into three games in a row for the final days. That, on top of lots of media, lots of features, lots of just random stuff that we do. Not to mention the fact that when we go into our games, there’s a lot of adrenaline. After every game, my body aches and my head hurts, and then we have to somehow get to sleep, and then we’ve got to wake up early and stuff. So there’s loads of factors into this. It’s not just simply, you go in and you play. And I think we started slow today, especially on Corrode and Lotus. A big map was Lotus for us, and we weren’t able to, just everything wasn’t going our way. The Odin was completely annihilating us. Then when we got to Abyss, we were like, ‘This is the last chance.’ And I felt very confident that we could win this one, because I felt like I knew everything they did on the attack side. And then, what were we like 1–11 down or something? I was like, ‘Oh bloody hell, this one’s going to be a tough one, isn’t it?’ We managed to do it, and then I was like, ‘Holy guacamole, the dream is alive!’ And it felt amazing, hearing the crowd and being able to just do that, because it would’ve been so disappointing of a final to just bomb out there. But in the FNATIC way, we fight back. Ascent, we’re starting to feel the kind of momentum. And then it gets to Sunset, a map that was the one kind of perma-ban we had, but we had some stuff on it. Unfortunately, it was just the crucial map for us to get the win, and some of the rounds just didn’t go our way, and that’s how VALORANT goes, you know. It felt like the rounds that we needed to win, we lost, and then they had an ultimate the next round, and that’s how brutal it is on defense. If we had just been able to win one of those rounds, like the bonus round, holy guacamole, we would’ve been loving life. And it was the difference of like a 1v1 in the end. So yeah, I mean, we tried our best. That’s why I’m not that [sad]. I am sad, obviously, but I’m not like how I was in Toronto, because I felt like we pushed, we tried our best, and I’m very happy with the boys. It would’ve been nice to win, but there’s only one winner, so it’s just a blessing to compete instead.” #VALORANTChampions via Pedro Romero
