As random movie scenes go, think the Pie Eating Contest is one of the most bizarre and hardest to stomach. I'm sure its King emulating Roald Dahl, both writers knew young boys enjoy gross stuff.

Great movie, and a great novella by Stephen King. It's in his Four Seasons book, which also contains Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil, and one other story. King was on a serious roll!

I read the Stephen King story and enjoyed it tremendously. When I saw the movie come out I was skeptical. "There is no way it's as good as the book" I was surprised of the greatness of the movie 👍😁
