Star Fox remake vs. Star Fox 64 What do we think?

Looks good, the graphics are nice... But TBH the soul is missing and the voice acting and character designs are brutal. I'm more than happy to just keep playing SF 64 and that probably won't change. Played it several times this week. I still love playing it.

Yup I’ll keep playing the original. Nothing wrong with the remake, but remaking a game that is already flawless.. is just lame. The only thing they should’ve done is create entirely new levels. That would make me want to play more than a remade version of flawless classics

Its not just how it looks, Star Fox on Switch 2 plays SOOO smooth. I played the demo and the controls and gameplay are so good. Everything flows seamlessly. It's fun to play and its smooth. Masterpiece.

10 out of 10. Yes its a remake but the extra added scenes really add to the feel of this game. It's this star fox story the way it was always meant to be told and played.

Looks fantastic and I can't wait to experience this game again in a new way.

I just finished my 1st playthrough of the remake and I absolutely love it. I love everything about it. It's special and I am about to run it again and again. As someone who beat the OG 100s of times, I am glad I have more ways to play Star Fox.

My cons are the character design and voice acting direction, trying to make everything more realistic when the OG's cartoonish art and cheesy and dramatic voice acting was great. Expensive for an apparent 1:1 remake that just added multiplayer that very likely no one will play.

The only good thing bout the "remake" are the graphics literally thats it. Id honestly take a ported version of zero over this with toggleable motion controls on or off to play with. But nah 64 is miles better.

Honestly, the remake's HUD is a mess of visual clutter compared to 64. The original had perfect UI flow—you actually knew where to look. Now I feel like I need an extra pair of eyes just to check my shield gauge. Let me do a barrel roll in peace, thanks.

I mean don’t get me wrong it still looks fun and all but tell me why the graphics looks like it was made 5 years after the first one? Surely they could have cleaned it up a bit more

They did make robot Andross still creepy. Not bad.

Imagine making a remake but not another one. Starfox could have been a great franchise for Nintendo. They need to do better

The new graphics lack visual clarity, especially in the city and night levels. I would have a hard time knowing what to shoot at.
