#THEO talking about the songs on #UNIQUE • L.O.Y.L: He didn’t like the demo at first and was questioning why kids these days listen to songs with that kinda sound 😭, but after listening to it a few times and adding the choreo to it, he started liking it • ICE (VVS): He really likes it and when he was younger he listened to a lot of hip-hop himself, so no wonder he likes it 🙂‍↔️ • Triple 7: It has a popular melody and is overal a good song! • Pandemonium: He was confused and “scared” when he first heard it 😭 but he really likes it now. the 13 SEVENTEEN members discussed their contract renewal on the private jet during the early days, when they first started talking about it. seems like it was in september 2024, when they flew to beijing for the fansign. that was the last time all 13 of them were on a private jet together😭 it was also jeonghan and jun’s last group schedule before jeonghan enlisted and jun fully focused on filming his movie. i mean… if so, it kind of makes sense that they even discussed contract renewal on the private jet🥲 they probably talked about it either on the way beijing or on the way back to korea or both time.. also, if that’s the case… thinking about that OT13 dinner moment in beijing now feels even more more precious😭

Yesterday was Sabbath, but the pain in my heart did not drive me to the pulpit or to the pews of my church in Lavington. The pain in my heart drove me to Narok town to trace and find the man whose daughter perished in the Utumishi Girls fire incident in Gilgil. Dennis Nyakeri, a tour operator and Rebecca Maina, a pastor, were in a church service at home when I arrived. I avoided eye contact with Dennis when I was ushered in to sit, because in seeing his pain, I was going to lose my ‘manliness’ and shed a tear of communal grief 😪😪😪. In that service, even as the founders of Fountain of Life Church Bishop Mureu and his dear wife spoke, one could feel a sense of emptiness, pain, anger and confusion. It is the pain that makes one question God. It was the kind of pain that seemed for a moment to obscure the clarity of Jesus Christ. A parent of another child at Utumishi who was a close friend of Sheryl (the departed girl), recounted their conversation with Dennis earlier. She said Dennis referred to the Bible’s Psalm 90:10 which states that “The length of our days is seventy years—or eighty, if we have the strength...". And then Dennis paused and asked, where does 15 years come in😪😪😪??? How does God allow my 15 year old to die!!😫😫😫😭😭😭😭😭 At that point, I had lost it all. I broke down. When I stood to speak, I was a mess, I must confess. I told them that I did not know anyone there. I had never met Dennis, nor his wife my whole life. I am not a parent in Utumishi. I am not from Narok and own nothing in that county. I am not a fellow tour operator of Dennis. I am not Kisii as Dennis, neither am I kikuyu as his dear wife. I do not fellowship with their Church. I was just a man, who felt the pain of his fellow man😭😭😭😭, took himself alone, to go and share this Jesus and to take love to a wounded soul. Friends, the pain in that home cannot be compared to any I have seen in many days. The pain endured in identifying one’s child when it’s all ashes, breaks me to the bone 😭😭😭😭😭. Jesus, please come and heal the parents whose children died in that inferno😪😪😪. Please come Lord. Please come. jungwon sharing a funny experience when he went to iceland with his family 😭😭 🐈 i went on a package tour, and there were a lot of really funny episodes. so… what was really funny was, i went with my family too, and including us there were about 20 people on the tour. on the first day, one of the dads there, like, not from our family, another family’s dad, asked me, “are you an idol?” so for me, the trip was like 8 nights (technically slept 2 days on the plane so about 6 days), and it’s kind of uncomfortable if people know, so i said, “no, i’m not. i get that a lot though,” and just thanked him but since there were 20 people, on the second day another person asked the same thing… and they kept asking every day until like day 5 and every time i gave the same answer, “i get that a lot, thank you” then there was this part where we were all walking together on a glacier. we were just walking like this, and someone asked again while talking to my mom like, “your son looks like an idol” and i was like “ah thank you, i hear that a lot” but across from us there were a lot of chinese tour groups at the time, and right when i was saying “no, i’m not,” suddenly from the other side someone went “jungwon!” and it instantly got super awkward. so my mom was like “could you just keep walking please,” and we just walked silently for like 1km. then the next day, one of the people in our tour asked my mom, “did he just run into a coworker?” they thought i just ran into a colleague. luckily, until the last day, we were able to travel comfortably. i think they probably knew but pretended not to 🐈 even a flight attendant recognized me and gave me chocolate as a gift, apparently iceland is famous for chocolate, i didn’t know that. if you’re watching this, thank you, i really enjoyed it. it was HUGE, like this big, seriously 🐈 seriously, wow, even now when i think about it, it’s so dizzying. right when i was saying “no, i’m not,” someone called my name right in front of me, the timing was just… but honestly, still, the fact that engene was there was more amazing. i actually met quite a lot while i was there, but they didn’t really post about it much, so i’m really thankful. it really felt like a drama 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I immediately called him in the middle of the night half asleep - and did a video call with him and his father. And we spoke. And it made my day. Today he sent me this video. I’m telling this after all this time, but… I was in another place. I heard there was quite a fuss, I was shocked and went outside, but everything was over already. I went to the basement and talked to Hongjoong “San is like this”. Hongjoong started to cry out of the blue. I was shocked, as he always the last person to cry. He never really cries unless it’s before the fans. He suddenly started crying bitterly, saying he feels pathetic for not being able to do anything. He said you were like that but he couldn't do anything so he felt pathetic and continued to cry. I also felt sad. But we knew you’d overcome it, so… we just presented you the cap. ⛰️ That’s when you gave me the cap. It was around my birthday, right? 🐰 Yup. All the older members truly were worried about you. ⛰️ I know, I heard. That was when… I usually don’t have too much ups and downs on my emotions. There were many things that happened, with lots of frustrating and bitter moments… The thing is, what I can control was only so much, but I couldn't handle it when the emotion went wild out of my hand.
