For briefing #2, we will be testing engagement in post format rather than an X article. Please enjoy the full English-subbed video above. Be aware that translations are never 100% accurate. and that Star Resonance is an ever-changing product until release and beyond. In the future, we will be sourcing authentic CN translators to more accurately convey what is being said.

Video content creation sounds simple, but what if you don’t have time to: • Write the script, • Prepare the visuals, • Generate the voiceover, • Create the subtitles, • And finally render the video? This is why we built Noustiny on top of Nous Research Hermes Agent by adding 12 generic Hermes tools + 13 generic Hermes skills, bringing the whole process into one single flow. How does it work? Let’s take a closer look 👇 ———— 1- Story state: context, tree, motifs: Hermes had no built-in narrative-state primitive for tracking canon, branching story structure, and recurring motifs. So we added three generic Hermes tools for this: → story_tree_graph: Manages the story tree structure. It handles operations like canon path, descendants, and splice insertion points. → narrative_context_builder: Walks the canon chain and returns the live context every narrative skill should reason against. This includes recent chain, mood, and character state. → motif_tracker: Remembers recurring motifs across the story arc. For example, a sword introduced in beat 2 can reappear meaningfully in later scenes. ———— 2- Character / cast pipeline: Hermes had no built-in primitive for cast extraction or character continuity. So we added a four-tool character pipeline: → story_copyright_detector: Handles IP scrubbing. For example, “Iron Man” is converted into an IP-free character description before the image API ever sees it. → character_sheet_builder: Produces 1 to 4 characters. For each character, it creates an IP-free visual description and a hero-portrait prompt. These portraits become the reference frames used across later storyboard scenes. → character_registry_lookup: Finds a character by name inside the cast sheet and attaches the correct portrait reference to each beat. → character_alias_resolver: Resolves aliases like “Mr. Stark” into the main character name. This way, the same character keeps one portrait reference even if they appear under different names. ———— 3- Voice pipeline: Hermes had no built-in primitive for audio acquisition or voice cloning. So we added the full voice chain, and the agent dispatches it autonomously in order: → narration_voice_director: The director-agent reads the seed + story and returns persona_label, search_query, and fallback_query. → voice_sample_builder: Uses yt-dlp + ffmpeg. It accepts a URL, an 11-character ID, or a free-text query. It runs ytsearch5 with dead-video tolerance and normalizes the audio to 24 kHz mono PCM. → voice_clone_synthesize: Wraps ElevenLabs IVC + timestamps. The voice ID is cached by reference SHA. Per-character alignment comes through the same audio call at no extra cost. → voice_clone_cleanup: Frees the cached voice ID after render so orphan voices do not accumulate. ———— 4- Render: Hermes had no built-in video-render entry. So we added the final render tool: → noustiny_storybook: The agent dispatches it as the final step of the chain. One tool call drives the FastAPI render service end to end and emits the mp4. ———— 5- Skills: 13 generic Hermes skills added into skills/creative/: The branching engine in Noustiny works like a council of narrative skills. Each skill is loaded by the gateway as a system prompt and orchestrated in this order: → narrative-brainstorm: Proposes 2 to 3 next-checkpoint options from the canon chain. → narrative-writer-assist: Writes a spliced insert beat that fits the parent and child. → narrative-continuity-critic: Audits downstream beats against the new insert. → narrative-rewriter: Updates the stale beats flagged by the continuity critic. → narrative-judge: Approves or rejects the rewrite against the original flow. → narrative-scene-qa: Checks each beat for consistency, length, and register. → narrative-writer: Finalizes the chosen branch as polished prose. After one splice, this cascade walks downstream by itself until the canon becomes coherent again. ———— 6- Visual + IP pipeline: On the visual side, the goal is not just generating scenes. It is also preserving character continuity and IP safety. This pipeline runs through these skills: → visual-prompt-builder: Turns a beat into an IP-free image prompt and reads the character-sheet references. → scene-composition: Defines shot framing, scene composition, and layout rules. → story-copyright-detector: Skill counterpart of the same-named tool. It can be used for direct slash-command invocation. → character-sheet-builder: Skill counterpart of the same-named tool. Defines cast extraction rules and the IP-free portrait-prompt format used to seed character consistency across the storyboard. → storybook-intro: Generates the cinematic intro page for the render. ———— 7- Voice skill: → narration-voice-director: Defines persona reasoning rules and supports the decision logic behind the same-named voice tool. ———— 8- Pattern: Hermes baseline already had the gateway, agent loop, skill registry, and tool registry. We extended that foundation with 12 generic Hermes tools + 13 generic Hermes skills and organized the system into four main pipelines: • story-state • character continuity • voice • render The important part is this: Noustiny is not a hardcoded system locked inside a single app. A Telegram bot, Discord bot, CLI session, or third-party Next.js app can call the same gateway and use the same tool + skill chains. - No app glue. - No hardcoded prompts. - A drop-in, registry-compatible, agent-native video creation flow. ✅Github:

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis just got a ton of new gameplay footage, as well as a whole load of new information from previews on this remake Here are the highlights: - Lara's movement and gameplay generally described as feeling more arcade-y and less realism focused like the reboot trilogy, was there is a lot more dodging, rolling and doing classic Lara flips. - The story has a far more wacky, light tone rather than the more ultra serious tone of the reboot trilogy, as you take on dinosaurs - Eurogamer mentioned the game feels "AA" in a charming way, not quite as high level cinematic as an Uncharted, more focused on being a fun, lightweight adventure as og TR was - There is no yellow paint to point where you can climb, Grappling across ledges is now far more involved than the reboot trilogy - Lara still has the long jumping animation from the original game - Strong focus on puzzles in the demo previewers played, stuff like pushing crates, finding cogs, clearing debris, all you expect from Tomb Raider puzzles - Crafting returns, such as healing medicines - There are collectibles which can be used to unlock skills - Combat is done with the dual pistols, Lara has a special ability that allows her to slow down time and begin to flip around while shooting at enemies - Alix Wilton Regan acting as Lara Croft is specifically mentioned as being an excellent take on the character - Combat and puzzle difficulty are both customizable fully and can be changed separately Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis releases February 12th 2027 and costs $59.99 So far, this remake looks like it's not going to be anything mindblowing but it will be a fun entry into the franchise and most importantly, re-introduce classic Lara to a new audience. I'll definitely be playing and reviewing this next year so stay tuned for that!

Rolled credits on Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties: Review: A massive visual and technical overhaul that brings the sunny beaches of Okinawa to life. The new combat system and Morning Glory minigame are the stars of the show, the latter of which has been transformed into a surprisingly addictive farming sim. Kiwami 3 starts out with Kiryu and Haruka leaving Kamurocho to take over the Morning Glory orphanage in Okinawa. Kiryu grew up in an orphanage, so it's only right that he gives back. The early hours of the game are spent introducing you to the new characters, and building bonds with them through the expansive new minigame. Morning Glory is a crucial location to Kiryu's story, and the new storyline gives it impact, rather than just being a backdrop. The pacing is kind of slow in the beginning, but the payoff is a high-stakes thriller that puts both the orphanage and the Tojo Clan at risk. It quickly goes from a slice of life to a CIA thriller. If you've played the original, then some of the character redesigns lack the same charm IMO. Rikiya is supposed to be clumsy and a bit of a goofball, but extremely loyal, and eager for Kiryu's approval. The new character model (although he was great in Tokyo Vice) feels more 'serious' and loses some of the original's energy. Similar can be said about old man Nakahara. Combat has been overhauled however. Dragon of Dojima Style feels refined and heavy, and is probably the best implementation of the classic 'Dragon Style' combat system yet, ideal for taking down bosses 1v1. The new Ryukyu Style is built for taking down mobs. It lets you cycle through an arsenal of weapons, each with unique special effects, and large AoE attacks that can take out entire groups in seconds. In addition to Morning Glory, The "Haisai Girls" minigame is a surprisingly deep minigame that essentially turns this into Dynasty Warriors! You manage a biker gang, recruit members, and fight massive real-time battles against dozens of enemies at once. It has an entire storyline, and I'm surprised it wasn't marketed more! As for Dark Ties, it's a roughly 3 hour playthrough that's a must play for Yakuza fans. It dives deeper into Mine’s backstory and explains some of the... plot twists that were featured in the base game. The soundtrack is also excellent (better than the main game), and the faster pace is a refreshing break from the base game’s slower burn. Final Verdict: Kiwami 3 is the logical next step for those coming off Kiwami 2, one of my favorites in the series. Fans of the original may be disappointed with some of the changes, but the expanded Morning Glory and the refined combat system makes this the definitive way to experience Kiryu's Okinawa chapter. Returning to the streets of Kamurocho always feels like home and Dark Ties was a nice bonus that leaves questions for the future of the series. Kagawa should have been recast, and I'm still not sure why they changed up such key characters to the game, but it's a solid remake that ushers in a new era for the franchise. 🟢 Combat is at an all time high 🟢 Morning Glory content steals the show 🟢 Dark Ties is an added bonus that's mandatory for fans 🟢 Character models look excellent 🔴 Kagawa should have been recast 🔴 New character redesigns lack the charm of the original Final Score: 7.5/10 (Good) Playtime: 30 hours Platform: Steam Thank you to SEGA and RGG Studio for providing review code. #YakuzaKiwami3 #LikeADragon

My Spoiler‑Free Review of Star Wars Outlaws I spent around 30 hours with Star Wars Outlaws, completed the main story, and played a good amount of side content. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my time with it, even though the game clearly has both high points and noticeable shortcomings. The visuals are one of the strongest aspects of the game. Cities, lighting, character models, and ray tracing all look impressive, and the game genuinely feels like a true current‑gen release. I played on PC with an RTX 5080 and an AMD 9800X3D, and most locations ran smoothly. A few areas were demanding enough that I had to lower some settings to keep the framerate consistent, but the overall optimization felt solid. The planets feel alive thanks to the populated hubs and the amount of environmental detail. You can tell the developers put real effort into making each world feel lived in. The seamless transitions between planets add a lot to the immersion. The worlds look great, even if they aren’t packed with activities, and the planetary travel works well for a story‑driven open‑world game. Even though I have not watched the Star Wars movies, the game still delivered the Star Wars atmosphere convincingly. One downside for me was the absence of lightsabers, which felt like a missed opportunity. Nix, your companion, is genuinely helpful and makes stealth much more manageable. I’m not a major fan of stealth games, and that was one of the reasons I didn’t buy Outlaws at launch when I saw in reviews that the game had a strong focus on stealth. On normal difficulty, the game is flexible enough to let you mix your approach, but you still need to take a few enemies out quietly first if you don’t want to make things harder for yourself. The stealth system itself is simple, maybe too simple for a game that relies on it as much as this one does. I am judging this based on normal difficulty, so harder modes might offer a different experience. Gunplay is satisfying, even if it is not particularly unique. The story left me with mixed feelings. Most characters were not very memorable, and while the mission structure is fine and the pacing works well enough, it never becomes anything special. That said, I enjoyed the balance between stealth, combat, and exploration, and traveling around the planets with the speeder was genuinely fun. The space missions and dogfights were a welcome change of pace. I just wish there had been more mission variety and that Ubisoft had taken a few more creative risks. Combat overall is enjoyable, although the limited weapon variety holds it back and makes encounters feel repetitive over time. One thing I did appreciate was the syndicate system. It isn’t very deep, but it adds some personality to the world and makes the different syndicates feel more distinct. It’s simple, but it fits the game well. Lockpicking and hacking were surprisingly enjoyable. They were challenging enough to feel engaging without becoming frustrating or time consuming. Considering how often you encounter these mechanics, Ubisoft did a good job keeping them fun instead of turning them into chores. The game is in a good technical state on PC. I cannot speak for the console versions, but I only encountered one minor visual bug during my entire playthrough. The only thing that felt off at times was Kay’s facial animations in certain scenes, which could use more polish. Overall, I had a very good time with Star Wars Outlaws. It is not a masterpiece, but it is an enjoyable experience despite its flaws. I can comfortably recommend picking it up on sale or playing it through a subscription. I also hope we eventually get a sequel or another Star Wars project from Ubisoft, because Outlaws offers a good base to work from, and a sequel could expand on it nicely.

I finished the DLC for Ninja Gaiden 4: The Two Masters. Here’s a quick little analysis. I liked it quite a lot. It lasts around 3 hours (I played it on Hard). It has small references to the previous games, and that’s definitely appreciated. You can tell they refined the combat system even more and made the game harder, because the three chapters really kicked my ass is a not stop action combat. Maybe I’m just rusty, but enemies respond much better during combat now. One good thing is that when you lose, you can now skip the death dialogue. If you run out of health and press the button, it immediately restarts, which makes everything feel smoother (that was one of the things I had been asking for). However, things like being able to save the game at UMI or the HDR issues were not added or fixed, which is a shame. I liked the new stages — especially the “hell” one. It feels like a sea without water. You can tell this game was designed to be played at night, because in daytime stages the characters look kind of weird. Maybe it’s just something you have to get used to. Yakumo’s new weapon is incredible. Ryu’s new weapon, on the other hand, I didn’t fully understand. It’s simple, but it feels like it’s missing hits — I noticed it felt kind of empty. It’s more of a “connector” weapon than anything else. It’s great that they added the option to customize which weapons you want to use, or even equip them all together. The new enemies definitely add challenge (there are 4 new enemies or bosses), and I liked the final boss — I’m not sure if more than the others in the base game, but I really enjoyed it. To sum it up, I liked the DLC. However, I feel like they’re going to release a BLACK version, because it’s missing unlockable content, costumes, and characters like Ayane. That honestly makes me sad. A game with such a fun combat system really needed that extra content. If this DLC had been included in the base game, it would have been incredible. Later I’ll talk about the new 100-level mode (it has 3 accessories to unlock — they’re probably for the new weapon). But overall, it’s a good, very playable DLC, just lacking in content. Great job by PlatinumGames and Team Ninja — but please learn to listen a bit more to the fans who have been supporting you for years. Adding more costumes or another playable character is enough to make us happy. 🥷 🥰 Team NINJA PlatinumGames Inc. Super Ninja™

First, We want to thank everyone who supported and pre-registered from my 𝐀𝐫𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 post on Nov. 18 on my KOL profile 【🌸𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐏𝐀𝐈 先輩🍜】. We highly appreciate you all! 🎬You’ll see in the video that I couldn’t show a lot related to the game, like crafting, mining, or upgrading gear, because if I had included everything, it would have been 2–3 hours instead of 15 minutes. I hope you enjoy it! ^o^ 💟𝗟𝗘𝗧’𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗡🔻 ⭐️𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🔶I’m Senpai, and I’ll say this straight up: 𝐀𝐫𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 goes hard. The game blends action combat, strategy, and management into something that feels fresh, deep, and seriously addictive. Once you’re in, it’s hard to stop. 📙𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 🔶Endfield’s story doesn’t scream in your face, it pulls you in. The world feels mysterious, grounded, and layered, with sci-fi themes that actually fit the setting. It’s more about atmosphere and world~building than nonstop drama, and that works in its favor. 🔸The longer you play, the more invested you get. It feels like a story that’s building toward something big, and I’m here for that slow burn. 💎𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 💠Let’s be real ~ this game is beautiful. 🔷The environments look clean and futuristic, the lighting is on point, and everything feels polished. But the real stars? The characters. Every operator looks insanely good. The designs are stylish, detailed, and full of personality without feeling overdesigned. 🔹Whether it’s their outfits, animations, or just how they move in combat, the characters are genuinely pretty, and the game knows how to show them off. You’ll catch yourself pulling just because a character looks cool, and honestly, that’s part of the fun. 🕹️𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 ♦️The combat feels smooth, fast, and satisfying. Swapping characters mid-fight, timing skills, positioning your squad, it all feels clean and intentional. This isn’t a brain~off game. You’re rewarded for understanding your team and playing smart. ♦️Once everything clicks, combat turns into this perfect flow where you feel in control instead of overwhelmed. It’s hype without being messy. 💡𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲 & 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 🟡This system is crazy in the best way. 🟡The base and factory mechanics are deep, strategic, and honestly addicting. You’re setting up production lines, optimizing layouts, managing resources, it feels like a full strategy game layered on top of an action RPG. 🟡Watching your factory run smoothly after planning everything out is insanely satisfying. It gives the game long-term depth and makes progression feel earned, not rushed. 🎰𝗚𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 🖲️YES, the gacha is actually good. 🖲️There’s a clear sense of progress with solid rates over time, and plenty of usable characters even if you’re not pulling five-stars nonstop. Team synergy matters more than raw rarity, which means you’re encouraged to experiment instead of chase only meta units. 🖲️Plus, the game gives you enough currency through gameplay that pulling feels rewarding, not punishing. And when the characters look this good? Pulling feels even better. 💜𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 💋As Senpai, here’s my final take: 🎮𝗔𝗿𝗸𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 is stylish, ambitious, and straight-up fun. ⚔️The combat is hype, the systems are deep, the factory gameplay is addictive, and the characters are way too pretty to ignore. 👾If you want a gacha game that actually respects your time, rewards planning, and looks amazing while doing it, Endfield is absolutely worth playing. 💌We want to thank everyone for reading and viewing our video, and we also want to thank Arknights: Endfield for giving us 【the ◥🆂🆂🆂◤ community & 🌸𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐏𝐀𝐈 先輩🍜 's fans】 such a wonderful game and overall experience.

It has been a month and y'all are not only hung up, but STILL misunderstanding the entire depth argument. Then enter my domain of fighting games for a comparison?? Let's break it down for Wuwa players as this is the last time I'm speaking on this, cause atp I'm just gonna assume it's some kind of mental illness. The pinnacle of skill, the HIGHEST form of mastery in Wuthering Waves, is solo Danjin. You're own community worships them as gods because you lack the skill to consistently react to a bosses moveset even if you already memorized it. Guess what you do as solo Danjin? Dodge and parry. That is the ONLY mechanic in the enitre game that matters. Everything else as you and myself have said is COMPLEXITY. Elements, kits, rotations, etc, DO NOT change how the game is played. You brought up SF to discredit my argument, using "press buttons and memorizing" as a defense. When ANYBODY in the FGC knows that just memorizing combos is easy af and is the skillfloor of almost every casual player, right next to SP spam. Yet in Wuthering Waves, it is worshipped as the most skillful thing in the game to memorize the enemy moves and beat them without being hit on a character that does the same attack string over and over. Corner pressure, meaty, hard knockdown, restand, jailing, mix-ups, wake ups, delays, resets, and many more terms are used in the FGC because there is SO much more depth than just "memorizing the combo" it is why many characters can go from F tier to S+ must pick by simply understanding how to abuse aspects of their kits to completely change how others would normally interact with them. The only people who genuinely think Wuwa is hard or "high skill" are people who lack skill in general which is why they only play gacha games designed to have flashy, piss easy combat to keep players from leaving so they spend more. And that goes for EVERY GACHA. You can beat EVERYTHING IN WUWA with 1 character if you just memorize the moves. You will beat 0 even slightly competent players in any fighting game if all you did was lab 3 or 4 combos. I encourage not just Wuwa, but gacha players to actually play other games before engaging in a conversation they can't even grasp that they start talking about a completely different subject.

Now that I'm 80 hours in and have completed Rinacita, I want to give my thoughts on Wuthering Waves as a whole, both from the perspective of a new player and as someone who hates the gacha monetization model. When I first started I was told that 1.0 (The first arc/region of the game) was mid. I disagree with that sentiment. While the first 7 or so hours were bogged down a bit by lore terms and exposition that often left me confused, around Yinlin's companion quest is when I started getting invested and upon reaching Mt. Firmament (10-15 hours?) I was locked in. What I WILL say, is that the first arc of the game is mid in COMPARISON to what the game offers and becomes later on in every single regard, writing, dialogue, gameplay, music, map/world design, everything. Rinacita is truly a game changer and you can see the game's budget increase in real time with higher quality animations and cutscenes, as well as the map basically being an entire game on top. Every single companion quest without fail has ranged from solid to great, even making me tear up on a few occasions (Encore lol) and making me care about characters I never thought I would. They're truly a highlight and the writing is what makes this game go from just playing with attractive characters to playing with characters you actually care about. The sheer amount of content this game offers is absurd with both varying forms of short/long form content. It's hard for the game to feel repetitive when it gives you a new character to play as or constantly introduces new mechanics. (puzzles, traversal, combat challenges, bosses, etc) Even 80 hours in there's constantly new mechanics being introduced to me. The combat and team building is great, simple but with a level of depth that allows for some player expression (especially newer characters) and the various Forte's and movesets of the characters are both satisfying and incredibly flashy. The audio design specifically on some attacks is very punchy like Chisa's ult. The game is also just, gorgeous. The art design for everything in Wuwa is stunning, the map sizes are huge with varying biomes and the heights you can fly can be jaw dropping at times. Almost every location is screenshot worthy and the music does a lot of heavy lifting to, especially once you get to Rinacita. Wuwa just might also be the most F2P friendly Gacha that exists and while I stand by the idea that every game (including this one) would be better without gacha systems I have to give credit where it's due. It is INCREDIBLY generous with summoning currency (asterite) and I'd even wager to say, due to the store prices being absurd (If I remember correctly it's about $25 for 1 multi-summon) unless you're very well off it's a horrible decision to spend money for summons in this game when you could easily grind that in 2-3 hours of gameplay. Not to mention the pity system being very favorable and lenient. Even if you find yourself playing with mostly base characters for 40 hours (like I did because I didn't know you got more asterite from exploring than doing quests) the game is constantly giving you new characters to temporarily play as in quests to stop combat from getting too repetitive. Once again the characters are a massive highlight, in design, gameplay and writing, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite worlds where every arc introduces new favorites for me. I find myself enjoying where Rover is being taken as a character and that she's starting to speak more and more, slowly seeming to become less of a self-insert even if she'll always be that to an extent. I'm not going to lie to you and say the story is some unique masterpiece that avoids all tropes. It's not, you've likely seen similar stories told, but it executes everything at a high level and accomplishes what it's trying to do. The biggest flaws are the file size and the prices of the in-game store, as well as it's nature as a gacha game. Even if it may be the most generous one. The actual optimization of the game I find is solid, on PC with a 4060 I run on almost max settings and get 70+fps even with how massive the world is. The starting few hours can also be slow and exposition heavy with lore-terms you don't understand. Leaving you confused and disconnected for awhile, even later on in Rinacita the dialogue can stretch on for too long sometimes which can be a pace killer, but it doesn't ruin the quality of the stories it's trying to tell. From what people say I haven't even gotten to the best part of the game and I'm very excited! If I were to give a current rating, it would be a 8/10 and as long as you don't spend money on summons, I would recommend at least giving it a try.

Finished Pragmata. Genuinely a beautiful experience. A story about the family we choose instead of the one we are given. An inhuman girl on a different world learning what it means to be human, and an Orphan passing on the love his adopted parents gave him by doing the same for her. Certainly a game of the year contender, Pragmata has no fluff, bloat or instances of slow pacing. It offers a unique take on 3rd person shooter combat, blending it with a hacking mini-game that on paper sounds tedious and annoying, but somehow ends up being both creative and fun. Hugh and Diana are two halves of a whole, both in gameplay and the narrative. They don't work without each other, all of Hugh's weapons fulfill different roles inside the sandbox making no two options the same. Diana's hacking mods encourage strategy, quick thinking and moment to moment decision making without halting the fast paced combat. It's a system I don't think we've ever really seen before and the fact that Capcom was able to both make a hacking minigame that's fun instead of tedious and interweave it with real time combat without ruining the pacing, is truly a testament to how much creativity and thought went into the game design. The levels all encourage backtracking, have a ton of verticality and always remain a decent size so sections never drag on for too long, in fact I'd argue some sections of the game could've been longer. The small puzzles around levels or in training are less designed for challenge and more-so to breakup the combat, so you'll never be spending a lot of time frying your brain on any of them. The enemy design is varied and you have to approach all of them differently, using different weapons and hacking mods which are more useful on some than others, and the fact that all weapons (except your primary) and mods have very limited ammo means you'll be carefully considering what weapons/mods you use on what enemy, instead of randomly blasting any you come across with your strongest weapon. There's a good variety of unlockables as well, outfits for Hugh and Diana, new weapons, mods, the stuff you would expect, all the way up until you beat the game which will give you rewards to use in NG+, there's a good amount of stuff to play with and the customization is solid. If I had a few criticisms, I'd say I wish we got at least one more primary weapon and maybe a few more unique looking suits for Hugh, since some of them are borderline color swaps. The story is a fantastic one, character driven rather than plot driven. Hugh and Diana's adopted father/daughter dynamic carries the game on it's back, Hugh guiding and teaching Diana what it means to be human, providing her the small glimpses of joys that earth can provide and giving her the parental guidance and love she never received, just as his adopted parents did for him. It's all about the small character moments between these two. I teared up on multiple occasions, especially the ending which was heartfelt, satisfying and conclusive. Whoever decided that some of the collectibles would just be toys for Diana needs a raise, it might be the most sweet, wholesome collectibles in any game I've ever seen. I found myself wanting to find them just to watch Diana be happy and get her to draw more cute pictures, it's really the cutest thing. The music, art style, visuals, all of it is great though there's only two tracks that really standout in my mind and they both come at the every end. The game is on the shorter side, I did all available content and beat it within 13 hours, but NG+ offers additional content and beating the game unlocks a new mode, so there's still stuff left to do and new toys to play with. The shorter runtime encouraging replayability. This is what we needed, a cool new I.P with creative, innovative mechanics, a heartwarming story in an interesting new world and likeable new characters we all want to root for. Pragmata fucking slaps. 9/10.
