Remember the first time you played Star Wars: Dark Forces and hearing those blaster sound effects? Published by LucasArts in 1995, nicely tucked in between Doom and Quake, Dark Forces was the first in the Jedi Knight series with several sequels to follow. LucasArts maiden voyage into the first person shooter craze of the 90s was both, a critical and a commercial succes, selling almost 1 million copies by the end of its life cycle. You are playing as Kyle Katarn, hired by the Rebel Alliance to figure out the secret of the Empire's Dark Trooper project. Great graphics, iconic sound effects and music based on the original Star Wars theme, and the LucasArts' typical cutscenes (including good old Jabba the Hutt) made this game a must have for all Star Wars fans. Not just a simple shooter, but requiring the player to solve puzzle elements and to navigate some tricky switch-controlled mazes.

I’ve only been to a few Airbnb’s in my life but I think this one would take the cake. It reminds me of the huts from the Star Wars movies that the Ewoks lived in. Off the bat it starts off good, massive bathroom, open air setting and even a hot tub. Moving on she moves a rug and finds a secret room, she won’t say what it was but whatever it was has her shook. Any ideas as far as what that room was?

Die, rebel scum! Star Wars: Tie Fighter (LucasArts, 1994) was the sequel to Star Wars: X-Wing and exceeded it in every aspect! It was the first Star Wars game to let you play as the Empire, as a force of order against those pesky rebels! Joining the Dark Side was simply badass (and honestly more fun). Getting that tattoo lasered on to your arm, epic. Hearing the original laser and blaster sounds, absolute nerd chills. Requiring not just a steady hand to gun down enemy fighters and capital ships, but also having to manage and toggle energy between weapons, engines, and shields, Tie Fighter had the perfect blend of epic battles, mission briefings and debriefings, and last but not least truly excellent cutscenes. Computer Gaming World, GameSpot, and IGN all inducted it into the Hall of Fame - for good reason. Tie Fighter was a masterclass from LucasArts and a real rival to the Wing Commander franchise.
