🇬🇧🇺🇸🇮🇷 Starmer avoids responding directl to the question on whether an Iranian attack on the U.S. would trigger NATO Article 5. -> I can answer, article 5 is bound by territory. If US bases in Saudi Arabia are hit, it’s not NATO territory … so no.

I thought article 5 could be triggered when a nato allies is attacked not if a nato allies bombs a country first. nato needs to be dismantled. It is a relic of the cold war. Nothing but a genocide supporting tyrants club

Because the one thing the world needs right now is another big Middle East war....... The next targets for all out war are Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt. Iran is just the start.

America was not attacked unprovoked, it attacked first, so I don't think there is any obligation under this article.

The Article 5 trigger hinges on geography—attacks on NATO territory (Europe/North America) or forces operating north of the Tropic of Cancer. Bases in Saudi Arabia fall outside this scope. But here’s the critical point: U.S. military action wouldn’t depend on NATO approval. America First doctrine prioritizes decisive self-defense, not bureaucratic alliances, against Iranian aggression. The real issue isn’t NATO’s paperwork—it’s Tehran’s nuclear ambitions and terror proxies. Deterrence requires overwhelming force projection, not permission slips from Brussels. Weakness invites attacks; strength crushes threats.

BREAKING: Trump ignorantly attacks NATO: "If the US was in trouble and we called them... France, do you think they're gonna come and protect us? I'm not so sure." FACT: France lost 90 Lives and spent tens of billions of dollars fighting for us. FACT: The US is the only country to ever exercise Article 5. After the 9/11 attacks, NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in its history, declaring that an attack on the United States was an attack on all NATO members. The following NATO member states participated in military operations in Afghanistan under the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and later Operation Resolute Support: Countries That Exercised Article 5 to help us: - United States 🇺🇸 - United Kingdom 🇬🇧 - Canada 🇨🇦 - France 🇫🇷 - Germany 🇩🇪 - Italy 🇮🇹 - Netherlands 🇳🇱 - Belgium 🇧🇪 - Denmark 🇩🇰 - Norway 🇳🇴 - Spain 🇪🇸 - Portugal 🇵🇹 - Turkey 🇹🇷 - Greece 🇬🇷 - Czech Republic 🇨🇿 - Poland 🇵🇱 - Hungary 🇭🇺 - Slovakia 🇸🇰 - Slovenia 🇸🇮 - Romania 🇷🇴 - Bulgaria 🇧🇬 - Estonia 🇪🇪 - Latvia 🇱🇻 - Lithuania 🇱🇹 - Iceland 🇮🇸 (provided logistical support, as Iceland has no standing military) - Luxembourg 🇱🇺 (limited troop deployment and financial support) - Croatia 🇭🇷 (joined NATO in 2009, contributed afterward) - Albania 🇦🇱 (joined NATO in 2009, contributed afterward)
