I'm not sure how you record the audio, but it sounds as simple as the 3.5mm jack isn't seated properly in the camera? or your XLR cable is 1 legged. Either way I'd be pretty confident it's the cable and not the mic.

The speed of these iterations is only possible because of the density of world-class engineers at Starbase. Moving from static fire to flight in weeks requires a level of coordination that's basically an operational art form.
