First attempt. Orbit achieved. Satellites deployed. No rocket in history has done all three on the same day it first reached space. Starship is 122 meters tall. Fully reusable. Costs a fraction of what it replaced. The Space Shuttle flew 135 missions over 30 years. Starship just did what the Shuttle never could on flight one. The era that started today doesn't have a name yet. Give it ten years.

Can’t help but think this is gonna put some serious pressure on other launch providers. SpaceX keeps raising the bar.

"first attempt at orbit" and "first payload deployed" in the same sentence rewrites the roadmap by 12 months. every downstream program that assumed starship orbital ops in 2027 can pull forward now. artemis 3 lunar landing math specifically becomes way less painful with cadence starting today.

How precise were the booster and ship landings as a gauge for viability of catches on the next flight 15?

At ~550 km a dead Starlink burns up in ~5 years on drag alone.
