Well maybe,but whos signing up for that trip really?that long of a trip riding in a nice can,cramped, only to get there and have to live underground?there isn't a human being alive that is going to successfully pull that off in my opinion. It cant be simulated, the brain knows the simulation will end and you can have fresh air,go for a walk, call a friend, go to the store,I can go on and on with that list. I hope he pulls it off. But imagine someone who annoys you on earth, or something they do annoys you besides me typing this reply,you can get away from them regardless, but there,on mars, there is escape. So imagine Larry chews gum weirdly, or the way he blinks annoys you,before the trip, well that's not a big deal,now you are stuck with Larry's gum chewing,once again I can make a much longer list as well as anyone else. If we cut defense budgets by just 10%, we could fund space exploration AND address global hunger. Why do you think people attack space research first instead of military spending?
