Our crews have been out all night clearing snow from the runways, taxiways and aprons, and they’ll be working throughout the day to stay ahead of the snowfall. A traffic management initiative is in place to help regulate the flow of departing aircraft. This may affect some flights as we prioritize safe, steady movement across the airfield.

After a very long, and quite active Summer, that is all about to change, with a much quieter pattern coming in through this week and next week (perhaps longer). The large upper ridge that has been stuck over the Southern U.S. is likely to retreat back West again, but also broaden out, leading to much more quiescent flow across much of the CONUS. Some isolated severe weather may occur late this week, but probabilities for organized severe weather will remain on the lower-end for the next 7-10 (or more) days.
