Metro says since Sunday, May 24 they have given out 740 bus fare evasion tickets and have made 46 arrests as part of a crackdown on Metrobus. In some cases officers are going onto buses and pulling people off who were seen on security camera evading the fare elsewhere. #wmata

Last night, MTPD arrested Zion Peters, 20, of Washington D.C. at Gallery Place Metro. The suspect was stopped after fare evading into the station. During the stop, police discovered Peters had a warrant in Hyattsville, Maryland, in connection to a robbery and attempted murder. He was taken into custody, after assaulting an MTPD Officer. A handgun was found on his person during a search following his arrest. #WMATA
