World Between Worlds in Rebels is the Star Wars version of the Endgame time heist. It doesn’t rewrite the saga. It opens a branch. Ezra already pulled Ahsoka out of a death beat. Same mechanic, different thread: the second Anakin sees the “Padmé dies” future, he doesn’t kneel. He kills Palpatine that night, Padmé lives, the twins stay with them, and the Empire becomes a Skywalker court instead of a Sith puppet show. That still ties to everything else: • Revenge of the Sith stays the tragedy timeline. This is the fork off the opera house / Mustafar. • Mortis already said Anakin was supposed to replace the Father. This is the version where he takes the job and keeps his family. • Midichlorians don’t open universes. They just explain why this bloodline can hold an Empire together. • Ahsoka / purrgil / extra-galaxy travel gives you a frame if you want a traveler from the main timeline to find this one. • Visions and the old Infinities comics already exist as official “this is another path” boxes. No canon breakage. So it’s not “Disney invents a wormhole.” It’s: they use the nexus they already put on screen, keep Luke, Leia, and Padmé in the palace, and let Anakin actually win instead of becoming Palpatine’s wreckage. Main saga untouched. This is just the other corridor.

Not Dune. Dune is “the bloodline takes the throne and the universe bends.” This only works if it stays Star Wars. Keep the Force. Keep the lightsabers. The fork isn’t “Anakin becomes emperor, the end.” It’s World Between Worlds / Mortis: he wins, Padmé lives, the twins are raised in the palace — then they find out Jedi and Sith were both fighting inside a cage. Something older than anyone’s claim to own the Force. That’s the opposite of Dune Part 3. Herbert’s story is the chosen one becoming the problem. This timeline is the chosen one getting everything he wanted, breaking the thing under the Force, and paying for it until he has to give the Force back. No farmboy rebellion reboot. No “he just stayed good.” Skywalker court first. The real war second.

Staying good is the story we already have. That’s the prequels plus the original trilogy with the tragedy filed off. We’ve beaten Jedi-good / Sith-bad to death. The interesting timeline isn’t “Anakin never falls.” It’s “Anakin wins, keeps Padmé, raises Luke and Leia in the palace… and then finds out the Jedi and Sith were both fighting inside a cage.” Don’t call the new enemy “worse evil.” Call it what Star Wars already hints at: something under the Force, not next to it. Mortis already said the Force has older names. The World Between Worlds already looks like a structure, not just magic. So the threat is an Order that treats the Force like a tool they built — older than Jedi, older than Sith, older than the Republic. Anakin doesn’t stay a Saturday-morning villain. He uses the Empire and that bloodline to break that Order. Winning costs him. It hollows him out. End of the trilogy he doesn’t “turn good because the script said so.” He turns because the thing he destroyed was using the Force itself, and the only way to stop the universe from going quiet is to give the Force back — which means giving himself back. That’s why this timeline is better than “he stayed good”: • Main saga still exists as the tragedy branch. • This branch starts with a Skywalker court, not another Rebel farmboy plot. • Good vs evil isn’t the plot. The Force almost dying is the plot. • Anakin’s redemption hits harder if he first got everything he wanted. Staying good is a nice what-if. This is a different war.

Makes zero sense. The reason Anakin chose the Dark Side was so he could save Padme's life. If she's alive then there's no way he's a Sith and no way he's created or running the Empire.
