State Trooper pulls firearm on county cop disrupting traffic stop. Intense verbal conflict begins. A New Jersey State Police trooper was patrolling the express lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike near the Vince Lombardi Service Area. He spotted a black Dodge Caravan equipped with police strobes that had pulled... over a civilian motorist on the shoulder. Because the State Police hold primary jurisdiction over the Turnpike, the trooper pulled up to assist. However, as he approached, he noticed a man standing outside the van wearing a tactical ballistic vest—but absolutely no visible police badge or identification. Out of an abundance of caution, the trooper unholstered his sidearm, keeping it held low at his side, and demanded to see the man's ID. The man outside the van turned out to be plainclothes Bergen County Police Officer Robert Duboue. Highly offended that the trooper had drawn a weapon near him, Duboue and his arriving supervisor, Sgt. Gabriel Escobar, completely lost their cool. Instead of de-escalating, the county officers went chest-to-chest with the trooper on the active highway shoulder. The footage captures them aggressively berating the trooper, calling him a "rookie," telling him to "get the f*** out of here," and mocking his uniform. Despite the intense hostility, the trooper stood his ground, repeatedly shouting the context about the active police impersonator task force to explain his high-caution approach. Coming around the bend, the rider was blindsided by the police cruiser blocking his path. The visual obstacle forced him to slam on his brakes, dropping his speed down to between 32 and 45 mph before wiping out in the grass on the side of the road. This morning, we lost one of our very finest when Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Michael Pahira died in the line of duty in Schuylkill County. I just left Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill where I spent time with Mike's parents, Patti and Mike, his sister, Jen, and some of his friends and fellow troopers. They told me about Mike — about how great a man he was, about his high school wrestling record, his love of cooking, and his commitment to caring for his mother as she battles cancer. Trooper Pahira was the very best of us — Lori and I are praying for the PA State Police family and our local law enforcement partners after losing another one of their own. I’ve directed flags across the Commonwealth to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Trooper Pahira. May his memory forever be a blessing.

Oklahoma sheriff department and local PD have a blow up while out on a call. The conflict began when a Lexington Police officer pulled over a black SUV for speeding (85 mph in a 55 mph zone). The driver was Cleveland County Sheriff Chris Amason, who was in a marked vehicle but was out of uniform. Amason informed the officer he was responding to a high-priority "SWAT call" involving a barricaded subject and an injured officer in the nearby town of Noble. The Lexington officer allowed the Sheriff to proceed but immediately notified his Chief. When Lexington Police Chief Ronnie Johnson and his officers arrived at the active tactical scene to offer assistance and investigate why their local police hadn't been notified of an operation in their jurisdiction, the situation escalated. A physical scuffle broke out between Lieutenant Szymanski and a Lexington officer. Szymanski is seen grabbing and shoving the officer while shouting, "This is my county!" Following the incident, the Lexington Police Department filed a formal complaint regarding the conduct of the Sheriff’s deputies. Yelling and swearing at each other is free speech. According to the police, the car got up to 111 mph.
