A Ghanaian lady has expressed concern over what she describes as a growing number of Nigerian nationals entering the country, claiming many are engaging in prostitution. According to her, the trend is influencing some Ghanaian women, who befriend these individuals and reportedly end up in the same trade. She also alleged that some of these women go as far as bleaching their skin, a practice she believes is influenced by their Nigerian counterparts. She called on authorities to impose stricter controls on the influx of foreign nationals, warning that the situation, if left unchecked, could pose a threat to the country’s social fabric and security.

The film is based on Davidson’s life, and he also appears in it. As a society we have to stop glorifying the caretaker role. Or the glue of the family. We have to be honest about the silent suffering. The role it takes on the body and spirit. The fact that she also has needs, and they matter. That she needs support because she might look like she has it all together but she is dissociated. It’s time for us to recognize this role brings suffering and to teach every parentified daughter she deserves the same care she gives. That it HEALTHY to be selfish at times. That rest and boundaries are the greatest act of self love.
