Science: Hydrogen is extremely inflammable, and it leaks in small volumes from balloons. A lift has static electricity as well as electronic components. Even a tiny spark can result in an explosion. So why do people buy them? Mostly, they don’t. They are victims of a scam. They think they are buying helium balloons, but vendors instead give hydrogen ones because hydrogen is much cheaper. Lesson: Buy helium balloons only from reputable vendors.

We spent Tuesday in Mamelodi, Phomolong Informal Settlement, to remove illegal electricity connections. Residents in formalised housing had suffered for years because of well established illegal electricity connections that have contributed to numerous substation trips. Illegal connections not only affect the stability of electricity grid, but they also pose a danger to residents. There are over 12,000 shacks in this informal settlement and we are committed to formalising the electricity supply to this community. We have already started supplying some informal settlements with legal electricity connections through prepared meters. We can’t allow our residents to live in unsafe conditions. City of Tshwane

It's a funny situation: in order for the residents of Belgorod to have electricity during a blackout, they need a petrol-powered generator, but there is no petrol and we all know why😁 And since there is no electricity, not all gas stations are working. It's a vicious circle :)

Is Static Drilling the Kata of Jiu Jitsu? I have never done Kata, so I do not have a strong opinion on its value. It does look boring to me, though. Static drilling has some value, but not as much as live drills using the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA). If someone shows me a new move or solution, I will statically drill it 2 or 3 times. Then I will try to incorporate it in some live training. Static drilling makes up less than 1% of my training now. CLA will build your grappling skills faster and is a lot more fun.

This man lives in a village, and near his house he has a dairy farm where he keeps milk-producing animals. He installed two very large exhaust fans in the farm for proper air ventilation and to remove the heat. Because of this, the electricity bill for both his house and the dairy farm was very high every year, running into lakhs of rupees. A large portion of his income was being spent on electricity bills. One day, the man noticed that a very strong stream of air was coming out of the exhaust fans. Since both exhaust fans run all day, he realized he could use this airflow to generate electricity. He then installed two large wind turbines in front of the exhaust fans. The wind turbines spin at high speed all day using the strong air coming from the exhaust fans and generate about 30 units of electricity every day, around 900 units per month, and nearly 11,000 units per year. He uses this electricity to power his house, saving around ₹80,000 every year. Now he has to pay a much lower electricity bill. With his smart thinking, this man turned the waste air coming out of the two large exhaust fans into useful electricity by using two wind turbines, giving himself a significant financial benefit.
