So So True! I was only on them for 4 months! They totally destroyed my body and memory!

Physicians do not mention that HDL actually carry vitamins, which, as antioxidants reduce oxidative stress.The liver produces cholesterol to REPAIR cardiovascular damage. We just need it in healthy proportions.

Only take low dose Hydrophilic statins like Rosuvastatin. These do not cross the blood brain barrier to cause neurological problems. What most people fail to understand is that statins,preferably hydrophilic,stabilize the soft plaques in the coronary arteries. A quality CoQ10 sup

What about these meds that are not called statins but still lower cholesterol? Finally convinced Mom to get off statin but dr prescribed Ezetimibe instead 🙄

I took atorvastatin for a short period and I experienced some of the worst muscle cramps in my stomach that you can imagine. I never had muscle cramps before I started the atorvastatin so I knew it had to be that one. My doctor said no it doesn’t do that, but I stopped taking it anyway, and the muscle cramps are gone. So I try my best with my diet and exercise.

What about for plaque, not cholesterol. What are options then ?

Mitochondrial dysfunction should not be buried as one consequence among many. It is the major mechanism that explains why statin adverse effects can appear across multiple organ systems.

Do you know the difference between big, fluffy, healthy cholesterol in your blood that you need and little cholesterol molecules that can cause artery damage? Total LDL does you no good. Dr Wolfson is EXACTLY right!

What about secondary prevention?

Never believe in meat eaters.

@grok is this true

What would cause small vessel disease in the brain if we DON’T take statins? Or cholesterol drugs or smoke or drink ??
