The reason you are doing that is because you have to market a product that people will pay money for. The government has said that medical interns will be paid the same amount, UGX 1,268, 929 which is subject to tax resulting to a net pay of UGX 1 million. To me, this is only a short term solution. What happens to the upcoming cohorts? Shall medical interns have to go on strike every time just to get paid? We must end this cycle once and for all. Let the government scrap the National Health Policy that was sneaked in and come up with a properly drafted, permanent solution to the remuneration and welfare of medical interns. And let’s be clear: the demand is UGX 4 million, not UGX 1 million. We need a lasting solution, not temporary fixes every time doctors and interns protest.

Grateful for the courage of Principal Kirk Moore in Oklahoma who ran toward danger, took a bullet, and put himself between harm and his students. This is what heroism looks like. But let’s be clear: this is a kind of bravery that should never be required. Our children’s leading killer is gun violence. We cannot just praise courage we must match it. Honor him not just with words, but with action. We must do more to pass common sense gun safety laws to save more of our children.

We are glad to announce that we have full STARK compatibility between Stone and Lambdaworks Starknet (Privacy Arc) Platinum Prover. We’re working on adding the CairoVM constraints, the builtins and layouts. You can generate a proof with Lambda Stark Platinum and verify it with Stone following the instructions here: The 3 main objectives to achieve against the alternatives are: 1. the prover and verifier should be easy to run. one command to prove any cairo code. the prover internally calls the vm first to generate the trace, the user shouldn’t do anything but run one command. one command to verify it locally with the stone verifier. we will also add a command to verify it with the l1 contract in ethereum mainnet or testnets. compatibility and support of all the builtins are being worked on. we will be updating the community in the upcoming weeks. for us it’s very important that anybody can test and play with our code. 2. performance. we are already 10 times faster than the stone prover. we believe we can be almost another order of magnitude faster. 3. code architecture and organization should be top notch. the codebase is pretty small on purpose. we are documenting everything we are doing. we are leveraging all the work done in lambdaworks for multiple other provers. this let us easily iterate, play and change any part of the prover. we can test and propose new ideas thanks to this. from our point or view this is crucial and a big improvement over what exists. we have multiple ideas on how to change the protocol. There have been some on the left who’ve said we shouldn’t allow them to make that decision. I agree that that can’t be a long-term solution. Government has to be regulating this. I heard one of Donald Trump’s main advisers on this make the argument that the market will take care of it. These companies will solve the safety issues because they have every incentive to do so. If it turns out to be dangerous, people will just sue them. And they’re worried about financial liability. That’s not how we treat airlines, or drug companies, or food companies. We now have 150 years of experience just letting the market do whatever it wants when it comes to things that deeply affect our health and our safety. And so, there’s no replacement for an effective, government regulatory structure. And the challenge we have is that obviously, we have a president currently that has said that’s for losers. So, we’ve got a gap, at least of a couple of years, where things are moving really fast, and we have an administration that is not capable of or willing to, I would argue both, of putting together a serious regulatory framework, which is why I actually think we should be encouraging some sort of voluntary industry restraint, not because it’s a replacement, but because that may be the best we can do for now until we can get Congress and the White House to start getting serious about this."
