🇺🇸 The F-22 is the stealth king of fighter jets, but why does it have 2 thrust-vectoring nozzles instead of 3 like Russia’s Su-57? Because 3 nozzles require a round exhaust, and round shapes reflect radar straight back, making the jet easier to detect. The F-22 uses 2 flat, rectangular exhausts, which scatter radar waves away and help keep the jet stealthy. Well, a vertical tail acts as a reflector, bouncing enemy signals back like a mirror, and making them highly visible on radar. Engineers designing the B-2 made a radical decision: remove the tail entirely and accept the aerodynamic downsides that come with it. Trump has more to worry about! China has transferred its long-range YLC-8B anti-stealth radar to Iran, which can detect 5th gen, stealth fighter jets and B-2 bombers. Each radar system can detect targets up to 700 kilometres away. The YLC-8B is specifically engineered to counter stealth aircraft and ballistic missile threats through UHF-band low-frequency surveillance, undermining the effectiveness of radar-absorbent shaping used by platforms such as the F-35 Lightning II and B-2 Spirit. It’s also a compliment to the Chinese anti-stealth sensor JY-27A, that Iran already has. This tech transfer is part of the 25-year, China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership agreement encompassing military tech exchange, joint exercises, and energy-for-security arrangements.

The J20 is an ex Soviet design, the MiG 1.44. The whole idea is to develop a very high profile and visible “stealth” aircraft. In the end, it became a white elephant for graft with bad engines and are able to be detected by the drying rack of a radar.

Boeing NT-43A RAT55 / NASA522 departing Palmdale Rare sighting of an incredibly secretive aircraft! The heavily modified Boeing 737-200 NT-43A (serial 73-1155), better known by its callsign RAT55 or now NASA522, lifts off from the Palmdale area. This unique radar testbed is equipped with large nose and tail radomes and is used to measure the radar cross-section of stealth aircraft in flight — a critical tool for validating low-observable designs and coatings. In the past, sightings of RAT55 outside the restricted ranges of Nevada are uncommon, so catching it operating at Plant 42 was incredible! It also flew as NASA522 in support of the last Artemis mission. Yesterday it flew as LORA21. Thanks for watching!

The landing gear uses tough titanium parts so it can handle landings better. At the front is a small sensor called the Angle of Attack sensor. It tells the drone how the air is moving around it so the drone can fly smoothly and stay stable. Right behind that are the GPS units for navigation and the batteries that supply power. Further back is the Lynx SAR radar. Normal cameras need light to see, but this radar does not. It sends out radio waves downward. This radar has long-range capability, which means that it has the ability to search and detect the enemy's target from a long range. Due to its long range, it searched and detected all the enemy targets, be it a drone, a UAV or an aircraft, very well. It passed the data of the target to the fire controller, and the weapon system attached to the fire control radar opened an effective fire on that particular target, due to which it was destroyed in the air itself. We detected their targets through those radars and destroyed them in the air through our weapon system before they could reach their destination.
