REPLAY FILES BROKEN (FIXED + STEP BY STEP GUIDE) Hey! Currently there's a bug with replay files that prevents replays from before the latest Rocket League patch to load/work. As a creator, this severely impacts my workflow, and waiting for a patch could take a while. So to make sure I, and everyone else out there can continue to work, I've tried to find a solution. Initially I messed around with installing older Rocket League versions through the steam console, and trying to get the Injector from Bakkesmod to downgrade to the matching Rocket League version, however this proved to be tedious and honestly fruitless. So instead I turned to the modding community where I was quickly directed towards Martin, who ended up fixing the replay issue and building a handy tool. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: RocketRP: Microsoft. NET 9.0 Runtime: HOW TO: Step 1: Download (if your antivirus flags it, allow list it. Running unknown files is ALWAYS at your own risk, however I run the setup as well and the sourcecode is available to check for when you're in doubt). Step 2: Download the .NET 9.0 console framework for windows, or your respective platform. Step 3: Install the .NET 9.0 console framework through the downloaded .exe Step 4: Unzip/Extract the "RocketRP .cli .zip" file Step 5: Right click the extracted folder and select "Open in Terminal". If that option doesn't appear you need to click more options, and / or open with, and manually select Powershell or your preferred terminal of choice. Step 6: leave the terminal window open and go to: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Demos Step 7: Select the replays you want and place these in a new folder somewhere easily accessible. Make sure to back them up just in case* Step 8: Right click the replay you want to fix, and then select "copy as path" Step 9: In notepad or similar, copy this command: .\RocketRP.CLI.exe -r " " -m Repack --backup --legacy-fix true Make sure to replace the " " with the link you copied from the replay in step 8. For a breakdown of the command, check the video or use the help command in the terminal. Step 10: In the terminal, paste the command we created in step 9, then press enter. This should create a backup file of your replay, and it should create a new replay file that has the patch applied. NOTE: Right now, doing full folders isn't working, therefore you'll have to do this 1 replay at a time, untill I post a fix in the comments. Step 11: Put the newly generated replay in the demos folder (step 6) and load back into Rocket League. Your replay should now work as intended! Please note if you get any errors, you mostlikely didn't install the .NET 9.0 console correctly, or you have to check your command for typos. // finding the balance between real and believable similar to my previous post of the "Hell Pig" (Entelodont specifies) - this is an Ankylosaur battle idle standoff. - Breaking rules In games, more than films, you can get away with breaking a lot of rules. Here's a couple just for fun. 1. The shell: it's not suppose to flex, it's just like a turtles shell. 🐢 2. the feet: every step has a little slide. With the weight of this creature, I'm pretty sure there would be no sliding whatsoever. - Why break the rules? Cause it's FUN! 🤣- I mean seriously, video game animation gives you the most freedom to exaggerate and do things that normally don't happen in real life! In order to push the performance, you have to pick and choose a few spots that you can cheat. Besides, if the general weight/timing of the creature is good and the cheating isn't over the top, you're eyes will believe that the motion is accurate! ;) - Bonus info: In my previous post I mentioned we had 3 days to animate these battle idle standoffs. But what I forgot to mention in that I had a lot of practice on many quad creatures before jumping on these. We also had pre-production where where we tested out the rigs so that we could get comfortable with them.

Time for a dose of reality. This 👇is the supposedly smoking gun video that Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said last night had "never been seen before" and "could blow open the entire JFK investigation." Luna said she learned about it from Oliver Stone and said the video "shows Oswald near the vehicle [JFK's limo] when the assassination took place, which means he couldn't have been the shooter." And she told a credulous Jesse Watters, NBC had been "very, very much guarding this tape." A small problem. It is NOT a secret video that has never been seen. It is available for anyone to watch at the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas (or on their YouTube channel). What Rep. Luna is referring to is a clip of a film taken by Jimmy Darnell, an NBC affiliate cameraman who had been riding in the "press camera cars" behind the motorcade. He, and three other cameramen had jumped out of their car after the shots and started filming about 30 seconds AFTER the assassination. Darnell's film shows Dallas police officer Marrion Baker running to the front door of the Texas School Book Depository, and past the TSBD's supervisor, Roy Truly, both of whom would encounter Oswald in less than another 30 seconds, on the second floor. Oswald was on his way out of the building, having come down from the sixth floor after the shooting. Truly vouched for Oswald and Baker let him go. Some conspiracy theorists think that a few seconds in the Darnell film shows a figure on the far-left side of the front of the Texas School Book Depository they believe is Oswald. The figure has been dubbed prayer man, some say because of the way he has his arms crossed in front of him, while others think the conjecture is the equivalent of a conspiracy Hail Mary prayer long shot. For those not into the weeds on the JFK assassination, this is not the first time that a film or photo has been used to try and exonerate Oswald. Luna claimed, “very, very much guarding it.” I hope that the Oversight Committee gets the original Darnell video. Many of us would like to see the clearest possible version of the frenetic scenes that played out in the minutes after the assassination. For those, however, who think it will be dispositive and exculpatory evidence that Oswald was hanging out at the front of the School Book Depository, good luck. That story might earn a headline in the National Enquirer or the Daily Mail. It should not be the ‘breaking news’ from the congresswoman leading the new investigation into the assassination of President Kennedy.

Once we started to work with large global retailers, we needed a better way to scale this process. Ideally, the staff at the store could do this themselves — rather than us flying our team across the world — and then we could lower the cost and timelines. So we built a self-serve version of our survey app, with a tutorial mode designed for beginners. Over time, we collected millions of data points, and so we were able to develop an algorithm which would auto-correct mistakes. In other words, if the surveyor accidentally placed their ground-truth location in the wrong place on the map, we could use our algorithms to detect it, and correct it. So now we have WiFi, and with and our efforts on producing a high quality survey, we have the best WiFi positioning available. With WiFi on its own, it’s achieving 3 meter accuracy. This is a great foundation to build on. WiFi + Motion data To refine this down to 1-meter accuracy, we realised that we could combine WiFi with the same technology behind self-driving cars and robotics: a motion system called SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). SLAM uses the accelerometer, gyroscope and camera system to understand precise device motion. Imagine a car driving through a tunnel, using the motion since its last GPS ping to keep location accurate until it comes out the other side. On a phone, this technology is very reliable, and measures device motion with high precision. But SLAM is measuring motion within its own coordinate space, it’s not aligned with the real world. SLAM tracks the user’s relative motion, like “moved forward 2 meters, then turned left”, but does “forward” mean “north”, or some other direction? It’s not calibrated, so it could mean any location, any direction. We can’t rely on the compass to help us out with this, because phone compasses are notoriously incorrect — everyone knows the frustration of being sent the wrong way down a street. So our job was to align this motion data with the triangulation data we were receiving from WiFi. We designed an algorithm that could simulate every possibility, filter the unlikely scenarios, and hone in your location, using WiFi as an anchor. So WiFi gives us the initial blue dot, SLAM gives us motion, and as the user starts walking and we receive more data, our algorithms can refine location accuracy down to a consistent 1-meter accuracy. Chapter 1 Pre-Alpha "Explore. Craft. Survive." will be dropping this quarter welcoming the very first inhabitants to #E2V1 & introduce early mechanics that will form the foundation of life inside #Earth2🌍✌️ Read below for important details: This update is no longer a simple avatar release but a significant update to the entire foundation of the #E2V1 world. When I first talked about dropping avatars I was eager to keep things moving and referred to a very simple system to test skins and movement, then to subsequently implement the full version after that. While this approach would have brought new content out quickly, it could have turned into weeks of extra development time with little upside for the wider community, apart from testing the movement and appearance of the avatars, there would have been little else to do until another subsequent update. Therefore I made the decision to focus solely on implementing the core part of the full system we plan to use long term on the platform. I apologise that this release will take a little longer than originally anticipated, having moved away from the initial lower spec'd plan, but I'd like to get this right & ready for a wider audience to start using and enjoying. As much as I'd love to push out updates faster, I will be taking this approach to #E2V1 development in the future as well. The plan will still be to release to our testing group first after our internal QA, test and then stabilise. If all looks good and we're happy with how everything is performing, we will push forward with a public release. There will inevitably be ongoing adjustments, additions and tweaks to these type of systems over time. It may seem like a long time, but #E2V1 was only released to our testing group 7 weeks ago! How crazy is that? I know for me it feels like many months already. Nonetheless, during this short period of time we have not only released a couple of updated versions, and an updated version to the Earth 2 Launcher, but the team has also been working incredibly hard on the #E2V1 and #BE mechanics for the Chapter 1 systems - and there is a lot involved in this upcoming release. We will be dropping an article later this week, which I believe will help our community understand the extensive list of features planned for this release and in turn explain why it is taking a little longer. I'd rather not spoil all of the details, but the article contains a lot of information about the various systems we're developing including rules of life, avatar synthesisation, death, saving, skins, day/night cycles, free to play model, avatar vitals, how land ownership fits in with all of this and much more. It is important to keep in mind that each of these systems needed to be designed and implemented, which takes time. The article will also begin to reveal some of the design plans I have been working on to increase utility for T1 land, which will also include various T1 classes. I also intend to follow through and expand utility on T1 land into other upcoming mechanics on the platform, some of which will be revealed in a separate article in the near future and are also part of the Chapter 1 release. When the low poly version is finished, the 3D team then finishes with UV mapping and texture baking and runs their own QA process. Once the entire 3D sculpting process is approved, the models enter the skinning, rigging and weight painting process and are then passed to the animation team for further testing with various animations and another set of QA such as minimising clipping and identifying any other potential flaws in the model. The model then needs to go through the final process with a game developer to ensure it passed the final tests and is game ready for #E2V1. 8⃣ The above steps only represent a light explanation of our character and clothing pipeline, but as you can see we’re not simply selling static concept art images or a high poly 3D model that lacks any kind of optimisations resulting in little chance of it ever being game ready in its advertised state - there is a lot of work that takes place in order to get these skins to the stage our #Players see them in the video footage. Once approval is given, it is handed to our 3D modelling team for sculpting into high poly, then low poly, while receiving numerous reviews and adhering to our pipeline protocols. When the low poly version is finished, the 3D team then finishes with UV mapping and texture baking and runs their own QA process. Once the entire 3D sculpting process is approved, the models enter the skinning, rigging and weight painting process and are then passed to the animation team for further testing with various animations and another set of QA such as minimising clipping and identifying any other potential flaws in the model. Qwen 3.8 27B on hit 3.3x faster decode in 7 days. Here's what happened and what we're thinking next. Result (so far) Median decode speed increased from 26 tok/s to 87.9 tok/s on the verifier M5 Max (33 to 93.1 tok/s across the eight prompts), with prefill around 971.8 tok/s. This came out of a collective effort: 31 solvers across 67 improvements. Most of the recent ones run custom MTP heads that draft and accept ~3.9 tokens per round while still matching serial output exactly. Why this matters Beyond the performance itself, two things stand out to me. (1) Dense models on Apple Silicon were supposed to be the hard case. "Everyone knows Macs are slow at dense models." But watching the community take it from the usual baseline to >3x in seven days shows the low-hanging fruit was still there. (2) Open-weight models have been small and effective for a while. This is the first time one is small and frontier. Qwen 3.8 27B is an extremely strong dense model, comparable in capability to Opus 4.6 (Max). Running it at usable speed (>45 tok/s) is a step change for local AI users. What we improved about the challenge itself This is our second challenge, and we took the feedback from the Laguna track and rebuilt a few core pieces. - Speculative decoding (native MTP) was available and editable on day one instead of bolted on later. - Scoring became the median of eight independent prompt speedups over pure serial decode (anchored at 1.0, floor 0.90, ceiling 3.0), so no single fixture could dominate. - The leaderboard now ranks total contribution rather than just the current record holder. - Every submission gets automated screening for gaming before it scores. Custom MTP heads + adaptive draft policy People stopped treating the head as fixed and started training or editing it for higher acceptance under the exact verify constraints. Combined with per-round draft counts that can adapt (0 to 8), this is what pushed average accepted tokens from ~1-2 up to 3.9 on the top runs. Tighter verify-block and KV rollback paths The Swift session code for assembling the verify pass, snapshotting KV, and rolling back on rejects got cleaned up a lot. Small latency wins here compound once you're drafting ~four tokens at a time. Metal kernel work on the hot paths SDPA, the MoE gather GEMM, RoPE, RMSNorm, and a few of the smaller element-wise ops saw targeted edits. We plan to keep the track live a bit longer, then switch to Qwen 3.8's MoE version (rumored to be 35B-A3B). Given the recent DFlash 2 announcement, we're also looking at whether we can support broader speculative methods. The current surface already supports a lot of experimentation. The main gaps are better upstreaming for local usage and clearer docs on how the benchmark and verifier work. Multiplatform. In parallel, we're experimenting with running a similar effort around CUDA for Qwen 3.8 27B. A lot of people have asked for this, since the two communities overlap quite a bit. Our goal is to ship the CUDA version next week. We'd also love to partner with Qwen on it. Milestone! We (robotic arms for gadgets assembly) finished the first commercial order, which brought the first revenue. Here are some learnings from this: The customer was a smart toy manufacturer. The task was to add a heatsink to Raspberry Pi. We received parts from them and returned the assembled modules back. Currently, it's done by teleoperation. Later it will be done by a remote employee via the Internet. Then it will be automated action by action, reducing the operator's time on this and making the task profitable. ps. If you have an assembly task that we can do for you asynchronically - leave a comment below. Learning 1. It's possible! This task which is usually done by the human arm with 5 fingers can be done with a two-finger gripper with the addition of a couple of simple tooling. The task was not simplified. We peeled off thin films from stickers, unpacked paper boxes, moved PCB boards full of components, etc. And no unsolvable problems have been encountered yet. Challenges: 1) The paper box shifted during the opening Solved with the plastic walls that you can lean against 2) Heat pad, stuck to the gripper instead of heat sync. Can be solved by gripper with a pump, but this time solved with the patience of the operator 3) The film on the pad is very thin. Turned out that sub-millimeter arm precision is enough to peel it off with just a regular gripper. 4) The working area has not enough space. You'll only know this by doing real tasks in bulk. This could be solved by an extra pair of long arms, but in this case, solved with the patience of the operator. I think that in the end, we will have 5-10 types of universal tooling and 5-10 types of grippers to solve almost all the problems in such assembly tasks. Learning 2. It's slow. It took 5 times more time, than doing it with human hands. But the good news is there's a lot of room for improvement. We now have specific “time for task” metrics, which we will decrease with iterations. The main reasons for slowness: 1) To rotate the gripper to a steep angle you are forced to control one robot arm with two hands instead of using both arms. We can fix this by just making more room for rotations. 2) Grabbing PCB board with two arms is hard. A slight difference in rotation can break the board, and it's hard to control these angles visually. To solve this, the best way is to use force feedback so you can feel the pressure applied to the item. 3) Accuracy and steadiness is still can be improved We will try a metal version and double the motors to do this. 4) It is physically difficult for the human hands to move with such precision To solve this, we will add a pad for the hands like in surgical robots Learning 3. It's a good business model The "Factory in the cloud" is a good business model for this stage. You send us parts and we send back assembled modules. Currently, it's more convenient than sending a robot to your place, as we can iterate/fix the robot quickly and utilize it 100% of the time.
