what does outside points added actually mean

how many more points a player scored on their outside shots than if they were converted at the average % So for example if a player scored 1000 PTS on 800 outside FGA in a year where the average points per outside shot was 1.1 then 1000 - (800 x 1.1) = +120 points added

just outside the top 20, but also underrated a bit by these numbers cause it’s just raw %s and attempts so no adjustment for shot quality (tho higher volume usually indicates tougher shots which is accounted for at least)

Volume doesn’t help ? Cause I thought that’s what would’ve put him there
