Stephen A. Smith holds a mirror up to the Democrat Party, exposing how their hatred of Trump over policy is costing them elections. Whoopi and the cast of The View did not like it one bit. Producers quickly cut to commercial and ended the segment. SMITH: “What I’m saying is, is that during the campaign were you doing what it takes to win?” “You had too many people going after him for stuff that wasn’t going to stick. It wasn’t going to influence his voters.” “So what I would say to you, Whoopi and what I would say to anybody that doesn’t want J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio or somebody like that to succeed him, focus on what’s going to win!” “That’s where my sports background comes in. Tell me what’s going to win!” “I don’t want to hear about…I understand the LGBTQ community is important. I understand that the desolate and disenfranchised, somebody we should be looking out for, I understand the economy and I understand immigration, I get all of that.” “But the point is, I’m trying to win to make sure that I’m in office and you’re not. What is it going to take?” “The Democrats did not do that last time, and that’s what happened.”

Stephen A. Smith tells Cam Newton he likes his women “domesticated.” Smith identifies as “socially liberal,” but Democrats are definitely not going to like this: “I can cook for myself. I don’t want to. I want you to cook!” “If I have to do that, WHY DO I NEED YOU?” “I’ll take you out, I’ll buy the food. I’ll take care of whatever you need me to take care of.” “But damn it, if I walk through my crib and you there? I better not smell Pine-Sol [instead of food].” “My sister has her own family. If my sister knows I’m coming, the minute I walk through the door, I’m smelling food. She knows that. She’s my sister.” “You the woman in my life, and I’m smelling Pine-Sol? That ain’t gonna last. I assure you that.” “Go get the brother that don’t mind. I hope he can offer you what I’m offering.”

Stephen A. Smith was in shock when an unhinged James Carville admitted that he has Trump Derangement Syndrome — and said he doesn’t want to get better: “I just want to get WORSE!” Smith pushed back hard when Carville claimed that President Trump doesn’t like America. SMITH: “Do you believe there is such a thing on the left as Trump Derangement Syndrome? Which is what the right accuses people of, do you believe that exists?” CARVILLE: “Can I say something to the people that accuse Democrats of having Trump Derangement Syndrome?” “I got it, and I got it BAD!” “And I don’t want to get better, I just want to get worse!” SMITH: “You want to get worse, James?” CARVILLE: “This is a condition that I’m not trying to get rid of.” SMITH: “Why not?!” CARVILLE: “Make my disease worse!” SMITH: “Why, why James, why do you want to make the disease worse?!” “Trump Derangement Syndrome, why do you want to make that worse?!” CARVILLE: “Because in my opinion, he doesn’t like the United States.” “He doesn’t like our laws, he doesn’t like our allies, he doesn’t like our treaties, he doesn’t like the fact that we’re an inclusive country, that is built in a large part on immigration…” Smith eventually had heard enough and fired back at Carville. SMITH: “Okay, how do you feel about people who say the same thing about the left because of some of the stuff that we were seeing with woke culture, cancel culture, identity politics?” “What about that?!”

Vance: "I want to address an elephant in the room, a fear that some of you have that not enough progress has been made, that not enough has happened in the political arena, that we're not going fast enough. Will Smith explains why money can't make you happy “The first half of my life was gather, gather, gather and the second half of my life is going to be give, give, give” “Once you've bought everything you want and there's literally nothing on Earth else that you want to buy, I just wish that was a gift that everybody could have because there's nothing that material can do to satisfy you” “It's like drinking salt water. You'll never get enough. You're just going to make yourself more and more thirsty. You realize that no relationship, no money, no kids, there's literally nothing that can make you happy” “You got to make happy in here. You got to take happy to the people you love. You can't try to get it from them”

Xavier Worthy explains the Chiefs locker room culture and Andy Reid’s culture of, if you don't love football you won’t last long “When you got guys trying to sit out and trying to take days, and you see the younger guys practicing, then egos become involved.” “I feel like everybody in that building is so selfless. It’s no egos in that building.” “I feel like if you want to play for KC, you have to love football. If you don’t love football, you’re going to be the odd one out, and you’re going to get washed out.” “That’s why I love KC so much.”

Sean Hannity: “You wanna know why I’m a Republican? Because you can’t screw up more than your buddy Gavin Newsom. I notice he’s not coming on your show.” Stephen A. Smith: “Not yet.” Sean Hannity: “Not yet? I’ve been in a big fight with Gavin... Oh, guess why he ain’t coming.” Stephen A. Smith: “You know I’m gonna ask him what needs to be asked.” Sean Hannity: “Well, because you laid out for him what you’re gonna ask to him. And guess what? He doesn’t want to answer those questions. By the way, I won’t take sh*t from him. And I, by the way, I live rent-free in that man’s head, he can’t stop from attacking me.” Stephen A. Smith: “Well, I’m going to say something that’s going to get me in trouble, but I don’t care: I will defend you to the hill against Gavin Newsom for one reason and one reason only, that debate that he had against Governor DeSantis, you could not have been more fair.” Sean Hannity: “I was fair.” Stephen A. Smith: “I’m saying you could not have been more fair because remember you and I talked before that day and I was like, since we want to reveal our text messages, before the debate I was like: ‘Be fair. Be fair!’” Sean Hannity: “Your career’s on the line, that’s what you told me.” Stephen A. Smith: “I said, ‘The country is watching, you gotta be fair.’ I said, ‘You gotta strip yourself from the favoritism role and you gotta go down the middle and give him the platform’ and what did I say to you after the debate was over?” Sean Hannity: “You said, uh, I shocked the sh*t out of you.” Stephen A. Smith: “‘You shocked the sh*t out of me,’ I said, ‘I can’t believe it.’ I said you were fair. And I was like, that’s all you needed to do.” Credit: Mediaite

Steve Jobs on why everything around you was made by people no smarter than you: "When you grow up, you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much, have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money. But that's a very limited life." Steve believed most people live with a fundamental misconception. As he puts it: "Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact. And that is—everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you." He continues: "And you can change it. You can influence it. You can build your own things that other people can use. And the minute that you understand that you can poke life and actually something will pop out the other side—that you can change it, you can mold it." On what matters most: "Maybe the most important thing is to shake off this erroneous notion that life is there and you're just going to live in it versus embrace it, change it, improve it, make your mark upon it. I think that's very important." His perspective on why you should change things: "However you learn that, once you learn it, you'll want to change life and make it better because it's kind of messed up in a lot of ways." The shift: "Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again."

Anthony Smith explains why he believes Ilia Topuria should return as soon as possible: "I'd like to see him back at the end of the year. You don't want to sit on that too long because it'll fuck with you. It'll mess with how you feel about yourself, especially when you're the level of superstar that he is. I mean, he had a celebratory dinner beforehand, and people were practically holding a funeral for Gaethje before the fight. You're going to have to eat that. You're going to have to eat that shit for a minute. The quicker you can get back, be healthy, and try to get that monkey off your back, the better."

Caitlin Clark: "When you're in the spotlight like this there's gonna be a million different opinions on you. And for as many people that are going to love you, there's going to be people that don't like you. That's the case with every professional athlete, men or women, playing at the highest stage. And I think what I've been able to do over the course of my career is just focus on the opinions of the people inside our locker room. That's what I really care about. The people that I love to death. The people that have had my back every single second of my career."

Stephen A Smith asks Abdul El-Sayed about Hasan "Is there anything Hasan Piker could say that would make you publicly disavow him, considering what he has said about the Jewish community?" "I mean sure but the bigger question is this, how do we want to exchange ideas? And the big question that I often want us to be stepping back and asking is, what is democracy for? The idea that you just categorically disavow an individual, that to me doesn't make sense given that there are going to be things that people say that you deeply disagree with" "He disavowed it himself (9/11 comment), Stephen this is not a consistent reading of what the man actually thinks. He specifically said that he was wrong about that..I've been a student of Stephen A Smith long enough to know that people have come after you and tried to cancel you for stuff that you said. So do you think people should disavow you for the worst things that you might have said on the air that didn't quite come out right, or they clipped out of context?" "There are 3 million people who listen to Hasan..and I want to offer them a pathway into an electoral movement..last week I went on Jesse Watters..bc I wanted to be able to talk to those folks who listen to Jesse Watters" (Via MrStephenASmith on YT)

I asked Luke Kornet about his memories from stretches where he was a DNP for many games in a row, and what his message is to the young guys who find themselves in that position now: “It's just a lot of peace to come to life of accepting the position that you're in and then just doing the best with that, versus trying to fight it and want to be in a different one.” “You can spend a lot of time worrying about things that you can't really control. But when you just take the opportunity that you have and do the best with that, you can have days like today where a lot of guys came in and were able to contribute. You can have peace about knowing that you did your job well, just as you did the day before, the day after. It might just look a different way every time. I feel like that's what I've been taught through my life. That's the only thing attitude that you can have that you can actually do something with – versus trying to control things that are outside of what you can control.”
