Stephen A. Smith: "Darius Garland, a toe injury is significant, it can be very painful, I understand that. As far as I'm concerned, you've gotta be damn near crippled if you can't play. You've gotta find a way to get out there... pad the toe, wear an extra sized... show more

I’m not seeing what’s so controversial about this take. SAS isn’t saying Garland is lying or milking it. Austin Reaves played with a toe injury too. Football and hockey players notorious for playing with big injuries.

Would value this answer if it came from a doctor or former player instead of this clown

Stephen has never played with an injured toe before, let alone at a professional level. It’s extremely difficult to plant, run, change direction, just ask his friend Coach Prime. I wonder if Jay had a rebuttal.

This kind of talk from a nerd like Stephen A is ridiculous. It’s is the NBA playoffs. Does he really think a guy is not going to play if he is only a little injured? And assume he didn’t explore all avenues to try and play. What a turd.

I think Tim Legler had this same very discussion on ESPN about Kawhi Leonard’s injuries and not being able to play. Journalists know absolutely nothing. Something Stephen A should remember

There's a difference between being hurt and being injured. Hurt you can play through. Injured you can't. Obviously the dude is injured. I am not going to slam an athlete's pain tolerance.

Obviously he’s hurt. And you’re here you this bs for entertainment purposes

A toe injury is significant when you have to run and jump.

Says a NON athlete. So damn annoying how tv turned sports over to talking heads that have never played
