He told us all Kobe could have easily won FMVP if he wanted to but that wasn’t the plan. The plan was to let big man eat for 3quarters then let Kobe dominate in 4th and close that’s why Kobe led the entire playoffs in 4th quarter points during their 3-peat. You shouldn’t speak like this when Kobe Bryant isn’t here to defend himself.

I won't let people rewrite history about Kobe. When LeBron and Kobe had equal teammates, Kobe stepped up and led his team to a win. LeBron shrunk, switched off Kobe, asked Prince to guard him on the last shot, then proceeded to not even hit the rim on his final shot. Kobe was being instantly doubled in a game with the best players in the world- only Kobe was getting instant doubles. Let that sink in. Mamba was one of one. That's why Coach K recruited him- Bron wasn't good enough to lead Team USA to gold. They had to go get Kobe to do that. 👊

Kind of tough for McGrady because we as Kobe fans have really been on him for that comment. Rightfully so, but he really been a Kobe defender for a while now. He got caught in the crossfire of a bad comment about a legend he respects.. McGrady and Kobe and some great battles and as far as 2 guards there was a conversation of who was better at a time. That’s warranted because McGrady had one of the best scoring/ability peaks of all time. Bean was better offensively (2006 was the proof) and had more intangibles when it comes to winning and more defensive ability. Regardless T-Mac was a great player. Kobe was better. And I don’t think you can just plug and play T-Mac in the triangle with Shaq and they riddle off championships. McGrady prolly didn’t mean it this way, but when you say that you cheapen what Kobe did. Those are Kobe and Shaq’s rings. Let’s not try to put people in there and say they could have done the same thing when in reality it’s most likely not true.

Bean was better offensively (2006 was the proof) and had more intangibles when it comes to winning and more defensive ability. Regardless T-Mac was a great player. Kobe was better. And I don’t think you can just plug and play T-Mac in the triangle with Shaq and they riddle off championships. McGrady prolly didn’t mean it this way, but when you say that you cheapen what Kobe did. Those are Kobe and Shaq’s rings. Let’s not try to put people in there and say they could have done the same thing when in reality it’s most likely not true.
