@stephenasmith A. Scheyer is better than K for the current landscape. B. UNC had a top recruit this season. C. They split games and didn't have their star for the loss. D. It wasn't until last year UNC changed it's stand on NIL. E. X's and O's are a much bigger question mark than recruiting.

@stephenasmith This is correct, I don’t care who the coach is you need players, real ballers. Rick Pitino got bounced in the first weekend last year & didn’t even make the tournament the year before, should he have been fired? Caleb Wilson even said it’s on us not Hubert when discussing losses.

@stephenasmith The reason North Carolina got stomped at Cameron Indoor Stadium is because UNC was missing a national player of the year candidate! That wasn’t a lucky victory over Duke in Chapel Hill! That gap between the two schools was not that wide prior to Caleb Wilson getting hurt

@stephenasmith It’s more than just recruiting. You’re wrong about X’s and O’s Hubert not very good at that either. He gets outcoached literally every single game for the past 5 years. He makes zero in game adjustments and uses very questionable rotations

@stephenasmith So many things wrong in this take 1. Roy had more success in his tenure than K during those years with less 5 ⭐s 2. HD has not been good at Xs and O's. In game management has been arguably worse than recruiting 3. Completley ignores that UNC was without CW in the game at Duke

All you have to do is listen to that post game presser that he gave last night and I’m sure he’s a very nice gentleman and has a lot of great things but if you’re looking to be a legitimate contender in this environment, you need real leadership and unfortunately, he doesn’t have it

@stephenasmith I will question his coaching. When you were up 19 points in a game, rest your players. Vassar and tremble needed rest. They played a whole damn game of 19 points! I love Coach Davis as a person, not a coach.

@stephenasmith I agree with what Stephen A is saying EXCEPT, the part about last night. Yes things happen in a tourney, yes Caleb was out but it wasn’t what the players did that lost the 19 pt lead. It was poor rotation management 90% and that’s on the staff. Can’t happen.

@stephenasmith UNC beat DUKE, Kentucky & Kansas with Caleb but they also lost to California and Stanford with Caleb that's part of the problem you get up for other "Blue Bloods" but not for "lesser" programs that is why H. Davis is in the hot seat the program has become inconsistent.

@stephenasmith Hubert Davis should have been fired a long time ago when he took a preseason number one all the way out of the tournament altogether. Think about that for a moment. He knows basketball, sure, but that does not on itself make him a good coach. He’s been subpar. Time to go.

@stephenasmith HD needs to go. Except you missed the mark, UNC had the recruits. They transferred out and went to Arizona, Michigan, St John’s, Vanderbilt, and on and on. They all play better too once they land somewhere else. Bigger than recruiting, albeit that’s still in the equation.

@stephenasmith It is an X & O issue. There is a talent discrepancy between Duke & UNC. However, there’s been a talent discrepancy between Duke and everybody in the country for years. Duke gets the best. UNC is not devoid of talent. Those who are able to watch the games know it’s glaring.

@stephenasmith I've followed @UNC_Basketball all my life, even went to their camp a couple times as a 12 & 13YO. Their long culture of team play, fierce loyalty to those in the program, & doing things "the right way" are not a great fit in today's mercenary NIL environment. @wbtradio @espn
