He’s not wrong, man has never done it once in 20 seasons. Even if Bron did it ONE single time it would’ve gave it like an extra 10 years of juice like VC did for the contest in 00

Agreed 100%. Before lebron, every athletic face of the league participated. It was almost a right of passage to become face of the league. Since lebron didn’t do it (from fear IMO) his peers felt like that they had little to gain but everything to lose if they didn’t win it.

This is why people hate Lebron James. Not because of ruining the slam dunk contest or whatever the hell SAS is talking about here. It’s that every single nba event, it somehow becomes all about Lebron. ESPN and Bleacher Report have crammed this dude down our throats.

The problem is not the lack of stars, the problem is that every dunk has been done before. How many time have we seen someone jump over a person now?

Been saying it for years. MJ and Kobe did it and showed the rest of the stars in their era the Dunk Contest isn’t beneath them. Bron did the opposite.

If Adam Silver had a pair of nuts, he’d call up the best players in the league and say: “Listen up, I’m your fucking boss, I want you to start participating in the dunk contest and put some effort into the all star game.”

Slam Dunk contest hasn’t mattered in 20 years.
