Yeah, but ... he wasn't actually paid to investigate. He was paid to find fault with people, and obfuscate and diminish investigation. His abject lack of integrity in embracing such a role for a deeply corrupt organisation is genuinely shocking.

This guy is one of those who the PO took months to find the emails for 2 million messages in all. He should have given evidence last year as should the designer of Horizon who keeps asking for immunity from prosecution and has been refused. Obviously knows he has committed crimes

They were all in the same mould and received 60% bonus of monies received from confiscation orders. There should never be a financial incentive! If there is one thing that must change it’s the right of the PO to prosecute directly. All cases must pass through the CPS.

You’re right. He was acting as a prosecutor rather than an investigator, only looking at things that support the prejudice that the postmaster/mistress was the cause.
