I hate these kind of questions. Look…I get it. You want the tears. You want the juicy clip. But the guy doesn’t need this.

Terrible question to ask at that moment. Absolutely unnecessary.

Love Eustaquio but that question was so crass. TSN needs to do better

Awful question that only ruins a magical moment.

Why would you bring up a man’s dead parents in a moment like THIS immediately post match?? TF

@TSNScianitti was that question really necessary? Maybe his best ever moment in his career and you bring up his parents Maybe not the best time for that?

That was one of the worst questions I’ve ever heard

One of the stupidest questions in history… biggest moment of he’s career and you have to bring up the shit. Let him celebrate not remember the worst days of he’s life

The question is inappropriate and not nice. The reporter is out of line.

Absolutely horrible reporting. As per, TSN always looking to sensationalize everything. For shame

I say this as a palliative care physician & also just as a human...this is a horrible thing to do to someone. If he wants to talk about his grief or his love for his family, yes give him the space to do so. Don't ambush people on live TV & force them to share their grief.

Disgusting behaviour by the interviewer.

What a nonsense question at that time.

Reporters asking these type of questions to elicit a response need to be fired.

Framing it as he "gets emotional talking about his path" when in reality your scummy journalist brought up his deceased family members is a choice

This was pretty low class. So much easier to just frame the question like 'how much does this mean to you and your family after everything you've been through?' and leave the specifics up to the athlete. Not your place to exploit their pain for your viewership. Low class tsn.

What a horrible question

Absolutely vile question to ask him, a stranger, on live TV after achieving something that should be a cause for happiness.

Scianitti has the most awkward interviews. Horrid question. Multiple people working the tsn staff have just been horrendous this world cup.

That question was despicable, no class from the reporter. Shame on you!

@markhmasters That was a totally inappropriate question to ask! Well done TSN!

@TSNScianitti F off @TSNScianitti, you have no shame. Are you able to let the guy enjoy his moment without a classless clown?

I was going to comment about the stupid question Matthew Scianitti @TSNScianitti asked but I think others did already.

@TSNScianitti, you blew it bud. What an ignorant question to ask the star of the moment. You need a break from the opportunity to celebrate our country’s big moments with the world’s finest athletes. In Mike Tyson’s words… you’re a piece of shit for going there. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

garbage question

@CANMNT_Official There was really no need for such a question

@CANMNT_Official What the hell is this lmao. “Congrats, your parents are dead. Are ya happy?”

This journalist should be reprimanded. The most unnecessarily provocative question. If you want tears, why not just punch him in the face? I’m sure he would have preferred this to being asked about his deceased love ones. Despicable and shameless. Eustaquio deserved much better

Who is the reporter asking this question???

@TSNScianitti Bad interview. You had the listeners thinking Eustaquio’s daughter died. She is still alive. It’s never good when listeners need to verify your facts or when we talk more about the interviewer than the person being interviewed.

Whoever asked that question should be fired.

Awful question to ask just to get him emotional. Unbelievable 😡

@kdkilbane77 Really weird, crass interview that.

interviewers be trauma clip farming wtf
