Stephen Harper 7 years ago warning about trade reliance on China. Using this same logic we can say that importing 50k Chinese EVs into our market is a shit deal. Which it is. No jobs will be created from importing them. But it’s good for Carneys political career.

No more importing PCBs from China when you can make them at a much cheaper rate in India. Just 1 week ago, I sent a sample to Vishal. Last night : ✅ Design locked ✅ Cost calculated ✅ 3D File sent This is will be our first in-house PCB for our fan. Earlier we had to rely on China. Now we build it here, with our people, and Indian machines, at a lower cost. Vishal built the machine himself. He teaches, he builds, he leads. You can hear him say: “less than 3% of our product,” “49,000 cars,” then making a cut-off gesture: “capped” — and then, “I thought you’d actually like that.” Presumably this is about Chinese EVs — Canada’s deal allowed up to 49,000 Chinese-made EVs into Canada, roughly 3% of the market. So let’s get this straight: Ottawa makes deals with China. Then Carney explains himself to Trump. And Alberta is supposed to pretend this is “sovereignty”? No thanks.

Once we’re past this trade hurdle, we must disentangle from China. 70% of our rare earth imports come from them—critical for defense & energy. If conflict erupts, which it could in the next 10 years according to some experts, China will embargo exports, crippling us. Strategic dependency on a rival is a dangerous liability.

I like Darryl but he is wrong about the Naturalization act of 1790. Yes it was obviously radical in that it included every European ethnic group as citizens, but it was exclusionary to non Europeans, as the rest of our immigration policy was up until 1965. Put this way, America was the first White nationalist country to exist. The prime reason we continue to have internal ethnic strife is because we are importing too many people that are genetically too far apart from us. Importing Italians and importing Indians are not the same thing, and never will be. The 1924 immigration act was the correct one.

Carney & the Liberals, failed. We have no deal with the US. Now, Trump said the US doesn’t need CUSMA. So Carney goes China. To decouple our economy from the US. The likely outcome: -tariffs on Chinese EVs will be dropped -counter-tariffs on Canola will be dropped -Carney will likely invite/allow them to invest tens of billions on oil/tanker/gas infrastructure going to China -China ownership in key oil/gas/infrastructure Carney is getting warm with the same regime that interfered in our elections & helped get him elected. He failed in getting a deal with the US. So now he’s prioritizing China over the US. And the US is preparing for this, as demonstrated by their interest in Venezuelan oil and Potash from Belarus.
