Maybe show some competence with the powers you have before seeking more !

Agreed. The evidence is already there: weaker borrowing powers, no justice or policing control, and zero HS2 consequentials while Scotland banks the lot. Scotland sits at 125% of English funding against a need of only 105. Wales is at 123% against an outdated 115% needs figure that still underplays its older, poorer and more rural population. This isn’t about party manifestos. It’s about giving Wales the same tools Scotland already has. Equal powers, not special pleading.

Exactly the same patronising attitude applied by English politicians to Scotland for decades Call it out, take it apart piece by piece Every time!!

You didn’t win enough seats to form a majority government. Therefore to deliver your legislative program you must compromise with others. You can’t pretend otherwise.

The 'people of Wales did not all 'vote for for Plaid Cymru' as you infer. Plaid got 35.4% of votes cast and the turnout was 51.6%. That means that 18.2% of eligible voters voted for @Plaid_Cymru, and 81.8% didn't.

Yes I could generate a case for further devolution if I was paid thousands, I could also provide a report against. Don't be taken in, they are politicians and stories, myths and legends are their trade.

Well said. We need more power and more devolution.

Also, @SKinnock needs to be tirelessly reminded of the support for more devolution - CrownEstate, police & crime, and proper HS2 consequential funding that LABOUR @WelshLabour @JoStevensLabour called for while in opposition at Westminster

Crown Estates .First of all they are not devolved to Northern Ireland .In 7 years profits in Scotland came to £270m which was top sliced from the settlement . Its all there in the Crown Estates Scotland Reports. Profit in Wales ? £9.8 m.Again this would be top sliced .

How about doing the stuff that’s already devolved better eh - how about doing that ?

Unfortunately we're all colonies which is why a Parliament made up mostly of MPs from another country had to agree to the wishes of the peoples of Scotland, Wales, and N Ireland. There will come a time when we will stop asking and just take what is rightfully ours

This is for you @SKinnock and the subalterns at colonial @WalesOffice. Funny that only 25% bothered voting in Manchester Mayoral election and yet no "evidence" needed for devo in England. Labour-Reform-Tory Westminster uni-party.

Stephen Kinnock showing some back bone for once.

Justice and Policing ? Where is the evidence that policing for example would improve if devolved ? Would streets be safer or more criminals caught. Sensible politicians would wait for the lessons from the pathfinder reorganisation.

Let's look at the facts . This is graph showing how much Scotland ,Wales and Northern Ireland get compared to need .In a report by the Northern Ireland Fiscal Council chaired by Robert Chote. It hasnt produced a comment from Plaid .Why not ?

Solid evidence base"? Excellent. Then let's start with the evidence from the powers already devolved. Demonstrate sustained success with those first, then make the case for more. That's how evidence normally works.

Westminster rule for Centuries, is the reason ye need Indy.

I'm not funny working as a researcher for plaid cymru and becomes an SM. Never been near a real world business Embarrassing naivety

We have Barnet telling us his formula is in no way, shape or form fit for purpose post devolution & isn't needs based, & the IFS saying data is 2 decades old, we need an updated assessment, & people telling us we're not owed for Rail, despite UK Gov saying we're & £14 B promised

Funny how you all refer to your manifesto now, during the election all you said was “vote for us, we aren’t reform”. What’s the plan for the next election? Not Binfaces? Spend your time sorting out what you have responsibility for now, with what you have now.

2/2 Joel Barnett argued before his death, his formula should be replaced with a more honest, open, needs-based approach & noted it had become unsustainable and wasn't designed for long-term use after devolution

@terry_maralyn #WelshIndependence #AnnibyniaethIGymru (I hope the translation is right, I don’t speak Welsh and used AI!)

1/2 The Barnett formula - designed in the 70's, he later himself stated; drawn up "on the back of an envelope," not based on need, and unfair. it as a "terrible mistake," a "national embarrassment," and personally embarrassing."

You might make a plan to organise a meeting to arrange a consultation . Etc etc

He’s absolutely right.

PC couldn't run a bath. Along with Labour, they are partly responsible for the demise of Wales and hardly anyone in Wales voted for PC, because they know that. Giving a WG more powers is akin to giving more matches to an arsonist. It's an extremely irresponsible thing to do!

@Plaid_Cymru You are so wrong my dear!

Why doesnt Plaid cut to the chase?. The party wants independence not more powers which won't make any difference to people's lives. Why not go for the big prize ? What is Plaid frightened will happen ?

As for Justice those who advocate this want to spend more money but never say where the extra money would come from . Why not ?

@TegidRoberts More power ! The senedd should definitely have less if they cannot get their priorities right !

@OwsWills One for Stephen Kinnock to chew on

@OSullivanMike send the nepobaby some copies..;)

People I know who voted Plaid had no idea about any of this you speak of. When I ask them why on earth they voted for you they just said 'dunno.' 🤣🤣 2 of those people are anti mass immigration too. People aren't looking at manifestos..

Stephen knows nothing …

Devolution is great in theory, however in practice, mostly down to the utterly useless cartel of Senedd politicians, it has been an abject failure so far. It could work, if we didn’t elect sub 70 IQ MS’s obsessed with nonsense.
