OPERATION GREENLAND: Denmark rushed troops & its navy into Greenland over a fictional US invasion. The irony is brutal. The US already protects Greenland by treaty. Denmark is the only one actually invading. Danish leaders ordered a major military deployment to Greenland, including a full platoon & most of their navy. The justification was fear of a US invasion even though US forces are already stationed there under treaty obligations to defend the island. Instead of coordination, Denmark chose escalation. The deployment amounts to a unilateral occupation of territory already covered by American defense guarantees.
