FROM INBOX | This morning at 7:15, I was a$$aulted by a City of Harare traffic officer. The incident began around 7:05 when two officers approached me as I was parking in a bay. They claimed that one of my car tyres had stepped on a white line. When I asked for a moment to park properly, one officer jumped into the back of my car, while the other clamped it and then also got into the vehicle. While it brings joy to many across the world, including myself, but when hundreds explode on every street corner, even a quiet town like Juayua felt like a war zone💣💥 Street dogs with no safe haven were left trembling, disoriented, or injured in their panic. One even snuck into our house for safety while we stepped outside to watch. It was heartbreaking—and im sure it’s exhausting for our elders and children who would be struggling to sleep through the late hours of the night (i.e. morning at 3am). What’s your take? 🚨BREAKING: In Minneapolis, ICE agents are now illegally detaining children at gun point, who are U.S. citizens, and taking them, as they raid houses without warrants. In the video you see a man come out of the garage with his hands up. ICE agents are already surrounding the house with guns drawn. A woman inside has her hands up, terrified, begging them not to break into her home because her kids are in the house. Instead of de-escalating the situation, one agent with a shield and his gun pointed at the unarmed mother, enters her garage and yells, “Who is in the house?” She tells him, “My two [young] kids and son.” He orders her, with his gun pointed at her, to step out and bring her kids. He then aims his gun at the back of the garage, where the kids are walking, and she screams, “My kids! This is not immigration enforcement. Federal agents have no authority to surround homes, threaten families at gun point, or remove anyone… especially a child… without a warrant. Today, I experienced one of the most traumatic moments of my life. I had gone to a friend’s place to lend him my MacBook charger because I stay in Ikorodu his charger had stopped working. After leaving his place and heading home, I was stopped by men who identified themselves as Nigerian police officers. They were not dressed in standard police uniforms, which made the situation even more frightening. I was forcefully pushed into my car, accused of being a cultist without any evidence, and subjected to intimidation. My phone was searched, I was threatened, and I was repeatedly told that if I did not cooperate, I would be shot, killed, or have my car taken away. They drove me around to different locations, including from Ikorodu to ketu under a bridge, while continuing to threaten me. Under fear for my life, I was forced to open my banking apps and make transfers. In total, about ₦700,000 was taken from my account through coercion. They wanted me to pay them 5 million which I don’t even have, They also forced me to call friends and demand money from them, insisting that I raise millions of naira despite having committed no crime. This was not a voluntary transaction. Every action I took was because I genuinely feared for my life. I am sharing this video because no Nigerian should have to experience this. No one should be threatened with weapons, intimidated, or forced to hand over their hard earned money by people who are supposed to protect them. I am reporting this incident to the appropriate authorities and financial institutions, and I hope those responsible are identified and held accountable. Heading into clinic and just wanted to share a few things that have been sitting with me lately. Work hard. Work harder. Nothing works unless I do. If I’m asking someone to show up for me, I have to meet that with real effort—and I promise you, that’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m also reminded constantly: I don’t know everything. Just because I’m a doctor doesn’t mean I’ve stopped learning. I learn from my patients, my team, my mentors—every single day. When things get hard (and they do), I come back to this: have integrity. Do the right thing, even when no one’s watching. When I’m unsure, I think—what would my parents say? Can I go to sleep knowing I stood by my values? That usually points me in the right direction. And finally—ask for help. Be wise enough to know when you need it, and humble enough to accept it. That one’s taken me a while to learn. Thanks for being here. Just felt like sharing. ❤️

I’ve had someone offer me $40 for backing into my headlamp of my Mitsubishi Evolution. It was parked in front of my friend’s house and we were on his porch waiting for him to get ready when his neighbor backed out of the drive and his tow hitch cracked my headlamp. I told him that headlamp was way more than $40 and I hurried up and snapped some pics of him and the truck along with the plate. He then got mad and hurried up and left, I ended up making a police report for it. The police ended up catching the man who fled the scene and turns out he didn’t have insurance, that’s why he was in a hurry to leave, and he didn’t have a license. They ended up arresting the man for that. The neighbor later tried to confront us for reporting his friend for the hit and run, my friend’s mom overheard what was going on and came out to yell at him back and threatened to call the cops. After that the man always gave us dirty looks when we were there, I also never park on the street anymore either for that same reason. This man’s girl rear ended somebody will merging onto the road, her boyfriend jumps out to offer the guy $40-60 dollars for the paint damage. Like that will even cover that. While the man is talking to the owner of the car she hit, she acts like she’s about to take off and leave the boyfriend behind.
