Steps to set Perplexity as your default search engine on chrome

I actually made it to open perplexity whenever I open a new tab and left the default search engine as google so that I can have both handy. Google is still better & faster in answering straight forward answers. Perplexity has too much verbiage even for simple queries.

The problem with Perplexity is, that it isn't a search engine. It's a AI ChatBot with Internet Access. You can't go to Amazon with it and so on.

Setting it as default search is not good, sometimes you just want a list of sites. Do better: use a extension to set Perplexity as default tab page. So you can still search and get Perplexity when you open a tab.

Being a pro user , and using it as default fore sometime , honest feedback , its kind of uncomfortable . I don't know why. Google & Perp work better side by side.

I don’t always google questions, sometimes I just want to type amazon and choose Can this feature be implemented so I can also have URLs to click on top of the perplexity result Only frustrating thing that stopped be from making it my default
