Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I don't know what you call that, like a sponsor area or something. And Teddy had a beat right on where it was coming down. One day, I was working on a university assignment, and I suddenly felt nauseous, like I was going to throw up. And in the end, I did. The first time I threw up, it was red like blood. Bright red. I panicked and rushed to the hospital. Everyone freaked out and quickly took me there. As soon as I arrived, I was sent straight to the emergency room. The doctor examined me and asked, “What did you do? How many times did you throw up before there was blood?” I told them that the first time I threw up, it was already blood. The doctor said, “In that case, we need to perform a gastric lavage. We have to insert a tube down your throat to check if there’s internal bleeding” Then the doctor asked, “Did you eat anything red recently?” That’s when it finally hit me — I had eaten strawberries earlier. I hadn’t eaten anything else all day, just strawberries. And not just a few… I ate an entire bowl by myself. Everyone was so stressed, thinking I had some kind of serious illness. Can any of my friends from the Boomer Generation answer this for me? Why are the Boomers so offended when ask to see their ID? This bank teller was explaining how she goes through this all the time. They always tell her that they’ve been banking there longer than she’s been alive. Showing an ID is just a simple measure to prevent fraud and theft, yet they yell at her for it. I ask because this happens to me all the time, even on the phone. Back at the pizza shop I would have an elderly man call in an order for food and most of the time he picks it up himself, no problem at all. However he started sending other people to pick it up as well as have other people calling the order. When the person picking up shows me his card which I recognize his name which had his photo on it, I won’t accept it without and ID as well, just a precaution. He then had to come all the way down there just to yell at me because obviously it’s for him and I shouldn’t have hassled him. I tried to explain to him when he calls it in and picks it up I know it’s him. However when others call it in and pick it up, I can’t verify if it’s actually legit or not, what if somebody stole his card and tried to use it. He still had an issue with it and explains that his grandkids should be able to use his card, I tell him that’s not how it works and if he kept giving my staff a hard time I would ban him from the store. I don’t need anybody threatening the workers over something meant to protect him. Should I just have let anybody use his card without verification at the shop? What if somebody did steal his card and spent his money, then he would have been mad at me for letting them do it.

If ever a dog needed a trip down Hope avenue it was little Rocky here… I’ve been tracking this guy for a week but know him to see for over a year. The leg is an old injury but I could see from a distance he was in trouble as he was losing weight. I had an idea why that was… Luckily this morning I finally managed to catch him and bring him in. Those are blood sucking ticks on his body. There are over 1000 of them. 🐜 What happens now… 💊 Medicine taken which will kill them all within 24 hours. 🩸Blood tests at the vet as I can guess he has tick disease, anemia and blood parasites. He’s very tin and run down 🐜 Dusted in powder so as the fleas jump off within an hour. 🧼 A good wash and ears, eyes and all his skin cleaned tomorrow to remove all the animals. 3️⃣0️⃣ At least a month stay I would guess as he’ll need medicine twice a day at a guess and catching him again daily to administer it is impossible. 🥘 The best food and a safe cosy place to call home. 🦴 I’ll get some expert advice on the leg but I saw him like that a year ago. I already know they’ll say he can live with it and no point amputating it. He doesn’t have owners per se. He chooses to live in an area where people feed him and he is not threatened. He’s safe there and gets food and water. He’s just fallen on hard times. Rocky just needs fixing up and help for a month and he’ll be back to his best 🙏
