Actually this movie would've been marginally better if everything involving Peter Parker's parents was deleted

Andrew’s acting is great but this scene is such a dumb idea

Proof that you can give Andrew even the most unnecessary plot and he'll somehow elevate it regardless. Still the best Spider-Man to me.

Why? It's a storyline that goes nowhere and frankly wrecks the entire point of Spider-Man. Instead of him being some random kid who has a freak accident that grants him spider-like powers, his father genetically altered a spider so that only Peter would somehow be affected.

Nahhh, I love TASM but why did they treated the parents like they were James Bond or sum 😭?!!!!

Andrew Garfield the goat. Forever my favorite Spider-Man.

There is a reason why they deleted this scene. How did he survive the damn plane crash when he was literally choking to death?

Andrew is a great actor

I’m waiting TASM3 for this scene to realize that they were going to cast a new spider. It’s sad bro

They should have got rid of everything to do with Peters parents, because ts was a waste of film.

Good Spider-Man but 1 dumbass Spider-Man movie

Knowing Marc Webb and his vision for this Franchise, bet my LIFE-SAVINGS that this would've been revealed to be The Chameleon. Gustav Fiers told Dimitri everything beforehand & that's why he knew exactly what to tell Peter here.

Damn, Andrew's performance in this scene is dare I say...amazing!

The last time in our lifetimes we will ever see an Oscar-level actor playing Spider-Man

This was probably the beginning of the clone saga, which would have brought back Gwen to finish the trilogy

If they're not making a third movie, why not make a comic that takes place after the second movie instead? I really want to know how the story continues after Gwen's death

They could still do this in YFNSM when Peter and Richard reunite.

Pra mim essa cena não deveria existir. Um bom roteiro trabalharia com a ideia de que ele nunca precisou procurar o pai dele, pois o tio Ben sempre esteve ali nessa função. Mas inegavelmente o Andrew atua muito bem.

the way they shot this like it was a spy thriller and not a grieving teenager is so funny to me

With respect, I think that scene is stupid, in spite of Garfield giving yet another stellar performance. Sony has made a lot of mistakes, but this isn't one of them.

If i can forgive Sony for anything regarding this movie its for deleting this scene

Why? It was such a horrible idea on so many levels Cutting that scene was one of the few times they did the correct thing with ASM2

Sony would’ve got so much shit if this happened lol

Same. Also because TASM3 and the rest never happened. And never will…

As if the movie is messed up enough already

This should have been left as the last scene or post credit, which then we'd have a 3rd film

TASM 2 has its flaws but its nowhere near as bad as everyone makes out

With so many deleted scenes - I think its time for a directors cut :D

They made a HISHE about this movie and the joke was Peter was having a mental breakdown because Gwen died and like RIGHT at the funeral his dad showed up and nothing seemed real from then on out

@PinoGDVR mettevano questa scena riusciva a prendere un voto peggiore allo 0, un -10

Best Peter / Spiderman ever

And it's so heart breaking because he said he did it to keep him safe AFTER the love of his life was just murdered by Harry Osborne.

“Peter I had to do this, For you. But I never moved on, I hoped you’d love me long after I was gone”.

They cancelled the next movie so they didn't want to let loose ends

This is like if the "dad returns" scene from Truman Show was presented without any irony
