Still don’t see much buzz around Virginia Tech CB Dorian Strong (#44)… he’s a zone based corner but plays with outstanding feel and spatial awareness. Starter upside in the right system. Able to avoid the mesh on 3rd and 5, and close for the big stop. Kid is so consistent.

A rough two-play sequence in 3rd Q vs. the Cowboys corner blitzes 1) Reading the middle of field with a Whip + Over, but the spacing is really bad. Dotson comes wide open on outside, but it's too late. 2) Mesh on 3rd and 11, despite the Cowboys running ZERO snaps of man coverage the entire game.

This is probably the most serious and sober take I’ll have about this shoot, so don’t expect too much of this cuz I'm still reeling. But here goes... #jhope shared this clip from Cody Critcheloe (ssion_official on IG), the photographer behind the shoot. I don’t know if the song choice was intentional, but pairing this super confident, shirtless moment with "The Boy with the Thorn in His Side" by The Smiths really plays on duality. The song is all about feeling misunderstood and wanting people to see the real you. It’s like he’s showing both sides of himself at once - the strong, confident image on the outside, and something more emotional and complex underneath. We finally pulled the plug on per day pricing. It had to be done. The problem with per day pricing is it always creates winners and losers. - If we’re on site for 8 hours and don’t quite finish, we feel obligated to work extra to get it done. We lose. - If we finish a project in 5 hours and the customer paid for 8, they feel like they lost. It’s a simple system to start with. Customers understand it, it’s easy to quote, but it’s not scalable. It relies too much on experience and too much back and forth. So we switched to project based pricing. Now we’ve got 3 tiers of brush density and 3 tiers of terrain. Tier 1 is easy, Tier 3 is tough. Pricing scales per quarter acre, with volume discounts on larger jobs. It seems more complex on paper, but in reality it’s repeatable, reliable, and something we can train any new hire to do. We calculate the project, send the estimate, and that’s it. No more “estimated days” language. No more winners and losers. We’re much happier with this system.

Some questions arised regarding the right of way on hills, etc. 🔮 Vehicles going uphill have priority. 🔮 Vehicles going downhill must stop at the stop line and give way (see the tweet below for the stop line position). 🔮 How do vehicles going downhill know if a vehicle is coming uphill? – They use the horn to communicate, and vehicles going downhill will wait. 🔮 What if they don’t communicate with the horn? – Regular drivers on hills do this, but if they don't use the horn, drivers must still avoid a crash by giving way. 🍀 The apex of a curve on a hill is not the place to insist on our right of way. 🍀 It’s a dangerous spot for everyone and could also lead to traffic jams.
