And being called a nick name, or insulted, was a right of passage, along with skinned knees, bumps and bruises. We rode bikes and horses without safety equipment. And the slogan was never let them see you cry, not sweat, cause we was all sweaty😂

This was my childhood! Also going down a highway in the back of a pickup truck,70 mph.

This is exactly as it was, circa 1960. I had to be home before the street lights came on.

And we used to walk barefoot. Try walking on black tar with bare feet. Thank God for the white lines🤣
