Still my favorite SNES track

Another great one that gets overlooked:

Honestly, even outside the SNES Cartridge, this is one of the most evocative, contemplative and soothing track i can think of in a video game. I always put this on whenever i feel like just sitting there and contemplating on my life.

Same! It's an immediately atmospheric track. Like you, I often used to stir my imagination (work, school, creative pursuits, etc.). I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment 100%.

1000% If I were to write a fantasty novel, this would be one of the track i would put in the background to fire up my imagination. David Wise is a God

I'm torn between several DKC tracks, and I can't rule out some FF stuff. But this is definitely a contender. I think DKC 2 might be my favourite SNES soundtrack, though.

The upper echelons of any artistic endeavor often yield to sheer preferences. (This keeps matters fun.) One reason I love this track is because it's eternal. It establishes a mood rather than tells a story. It exerts no metaphysical load. It loops forever. It just is.

How I felt the first time and every time I hear it

Because I know everyone’s looking for it

I think mine is still the aria from FF6

It's one of the all-time best, for sure. I'm just annoyed that I won't own the OST for many years. ;_;

I wouldn't even know where to purchase it. Nintendo Music lets you stream it, but that's obviously not ownership.

I know where to find it. But it's SO expensive! ;_;

One of the best songs in gaming

Absolute banger.

It has been one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard since the moment it first graced my ears.

Forever grateful for Nintendo bringing it back in Bananza

Serenity in audio form.

Truly. One reason I love this track is because it's eternal. It establishes a mood rather than tells a story. It exerts no metaphysical load. It loops forever. It just is. Like something divine.

Could you pardon my ignorance and state to which awesome game does this belong to?

was mine until i listened to Corridors of Time

This is up there for me for SNES tracks 🎶🔥🎮

It's so good. Pure atmo.

Forest Interlude gotta be my favorite, but the whole OST is incredible I'm also a bit of a sleeper agent with Stickerbush Symphony since this vid pops up in my head after I hear it lol, relic of the past

David Wise reverse engineering the SNES sound chip to compose these masterpieces. He was decades ahead of his time.

Classic dk

Beautiful, so many happy memories! 😊

Love this song a lot 😎🎶

After hearing Brawl version of it, I needed to find the original and I was blown away by it!

👌
