The orange clown suit was declared racist because black boys bought it. Does this mean only white boys can be clowns? In America, clowns have been around as professional entertainers since the 1870s when the post-Civil War circuses became famous. Clown faces are copyrighted, so a professional entertainer can become famous for his face. Halloween is famous for its cosplay. In short, Target is stupid.

I am not primed to look for racist imagery, so I saw something that would fit into Burton's Halloween Town in Nightmare Before Christmas.

You forgot to mention the ugly mask which is a crime in and of itself. You also know that that pattern fabric has long been equated with jesters or "fools" and carnival clowns. I think you overlooked quite a bit. If not ment to be racist, it was at least in poor taste. The pose was the least of it. Someone dropped the ball on this costume for sure. Just my 2 🪙.

Woke was never gone. Gov't offices controlled by Conservatives/Centrists removed DEI & required their respective businesses suppliers to state they were no longer using DEI, but all the others just kept it up. And those claiming they don't but have liberal controllers? STILL DEI!
