It's a box set I return to frequently. The best 'Rome' drama I've seen. The principal characters/actors are peerless. Marc Antony/James Purefoy is simply superb...I like to think he has Antony to a tee. And Ciaran Hinds, well, the best Caesar of all? Polly Walker...brilliant.

looks great. never heard of it but I lived without TV for years.
Keep meaning to rewatch that. The intro always struck me as showing how very different these pagan Romans were to us, rather than how much they’re usually painted as being our precursors…

One season wonder like True Detective, Mindhundter, murdered the show in S2 and then quit altogether.
