Seems like many people in the old countries don't understand just how much many of us Americans remember and love our ancestors. These were our people too.

Why don't they make movies like this anymore? Very sad.

Really the only gripe I had was that they made the battles a bit more historically accurate. I'm sure using a bridge for the Battle of Stirling Bridge would have been a huge undertaking but it also would have painted the Scots as being far more brutal and savage. Not nearly as romantic and heroic as the field battle. Although it would have shown their tactical advantage - they ambushed and killed 5000 ENglish soldiers that day while sustaining light losses. Stirling Bridge also collapsed during the battle.

Maybe. But not forgotten.

One of the best movie scores only beat by the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack.

The American cartoon version of Scottish history always makes me laugh. Did I like the movie, though? Yes, it was an impressive spectacle even if 80% of it was entirely fictional.

It is the move I have been watching the most times (around 10 times), also because I love history and I am fond of pre-Christian Europe, and this movie cleverly showed this mixed era when Christianity and pagan traditions were mixed together.

Unfortunately, they destroyed generations to come with transgenderism and portraying feminine men, they turned it upside down, innocence is dead...we should all look for the ones who pushed it on to us

Yeah however it's not historically accurate and after making all the cash out of our country (I'm Scottish) he complained about us using our historical figure for politics. Too bad because he's our William, not Hollywood's or Mel's.
