Still waiting for the day when Chennai would replicate this. Look at the added green cover lining on the pedestrian footpath seen in several parts of Bengaluru . Even core areas in Chennai lack these!! Greater Chennai Corporation KGB

Why is crossing the Chennai One signal on Radial Road a nightmare during peak hours? Traffic queues extend for more than a km, and commuters can take 10–15 mins just to cross the signal. I used drone footage to identify where the traffic gets choked, what causes these bottlenecks, and what practical solutions could improve the situation. Let’s look at the root causes. 🧵 Greater Chennai Traffic Police Greater Chennai Corporation Sameeran CMOTamilNadu Aadhav Arjuna Chennai Updates OMR Updates #ChennaiOne #omr #radialroad #chennai #traffic

Over the last three days the Sanitary workers of the Chennai corporation have been doing a hunger protest outside the Rippon building against the privatization of jobs. Unfortunately none of the Tamil Media or mainstream English media has covered it . These are my brothers and sisters whose voice has to reach the Mayor of Chennai and CMOTamilNadu who have not even spared a second of their time to meet them . Can my media friends cover this protest? Greater Chennai Corporation

One major cause of congestion at the TIDEL Park signal! Vehicles coming from SRP Tools either turn right towards Thiruvanmiyur or go straight towards Madhya Kailash. Some right-turning vehicles occupy the left-side lanes and wait for their green signal. This blocks vehicles going straight, even when their signal is green. In this video, an MTC bus intended to turn right (see the indicator), but positioned itself in the leftmost lane well before the junction. The bus blocked the entire lane, bringing all straight-moving vehicles behind it to a stop and creating avoidable congestion. 🧵 Greater Chennai Traffic Police Greater Chennai Corporation CMOTamilNadu Aadhav Arjuna Sameeran Chennai Updates OMR Updates Ｓａｍ Ｐｏｎｒａｊ Omjasvin M D Rajesh 🇮🇳 Vidyasagar Jagadeesan🇮🇳 Reclaim Chennai streets #chennai #omr #traffic #tidel #tidelpark #thiruvanmiyur

I studied the traffic flow at the TIDEL Park signal this morning and identified a major cause of the morning congestion towards Madhya Kailash. Within approximately 100 metres, traffic from six lanes is forced into just two narrow lanes because of Metro construction. This sudden bottleneck creates a queue extending 300–400 metres. 🧵 Greater Chennai Traffic Police Greater Chennai Corporation CMOTamilNadu Aadhav Arjuna Sameeran MTC Chennai CUMTA | Transport Authority Chennai Updates OMR Updates Ｓａｍ Ｐｏｎｒａｊ Omjasvin M D Rajesh 🇮🇳 Vidyasagar Jagadeesan🇮🇳 Reclaim Chennai streets #chennai #omr #traffic #tidel #tidelpark #thiruvanmiyur
