Still water is dangerous 🚫☠️

Still water in old mines is dangerous due to extreme cold causing shock/hypothermia, hidden hazards like machinery/shafts, unstable walls, and severe contamination from toxic heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium) and acid mine drainage (AMD), making it poisonous to touch or drink, plus it's a breeding ground for disease-carrying mosquitoes. The water's chemical makeup is highly toxic, and its physical conditions are treacherous, leading to frequent drownings and poisoning.

This is the deadly creature that lives in still water

We never know what's in there

@lanaflverde That right

Still water is not dangerous because it’s clear, it’s dangerous because gases can be released if the surface is breached

In caves it’s especially dangerous since you can’t tell up from down fully since it’s so clear, and depth got to rely on bubbles to tell you which way, also still water can trap gasses so once it’s disturbed they release into the air can be bad.

It's dangerous because it's unoxygenated and you don't float. For those wondering

suara nya itu bikin horor

Bikin merinding ya

I wouldn't dare to even wet my toe here.

Dont see why

@grok why

I like water and deep but the still water.... That is giving me the creeps and making me thing there is something down there waiting soo still the water doesn't move too.

What's the context of what's going on here

I’m not about to wade into this at all.😂

Isn't still water a term for urban exploration where water is so polluted and still that it looks like ground?

There are vast things in the depths of our Earth.

Just hopped right in.

@grok is still water dangerous?

Wow i love the scary sound but couldn’t understand the context

What is still water?

Especially this type

lemme guess. if the water is still & motionless, does that mean there's no buoyancy to allow people to float or swim? which means they just sink & sink, right?
