Some interceptions are visibly less stable, I guess it's expected due to higher speed. Still it's incredible that drones are capable of intercepting jet-shaheds

Ukraine’s first jet-powered interceptor drones are undergoing combat testing as Russia gradually replaces conventional Shaheds with faster jet-powered variants, former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov says. Several Ukrainian manufacturers have developed solutions. One interceptor uses a jet engine to reach more than 600 km/h and is now being tested in combat conditions, with Ukraine awaiting its first confirmed interceptions. #Ukraine

The first footage of a new interceptor drone designed to counter jet-powered Shaheds. "We have a good result from the Security Service of Ukraine’s military counterintelligence in countering jet-powered Shaheds. A new interceptor drone has been developed and has already been successfully used," President Zelenskyy said. 📹: Security Service of Ukraine

Interceptor STING downs another jet-powered Shahed 🚀 All thanks to the “Foxtrot” crew of the 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, who intercepted a turbojet-powered target. Recently, the same unit set a record — 30 Shaheds downed in a single day. According to OSINT research by Andrew Perpetua, 70% of these jet-powered targets identified from open sources were downed specifically by Wild Hornets interceptor STING.

Air-defense veteran Marko: Interceptor drones cost $1,000 to $3,000 and used to down 40-50 percent of regular Shaheds. Against jet-powered ones, they now down only about 15 percent, since a propeller interceptor chasing from behind can't catch something twice as fast. 1/

Zelensky says Russia launched almost 1,500 drones of all types against Ukraine in four days, around 800 of them jet-powered. He says jet-powered Shaheds are the hardest to intercept and combat aircraft currently carry most of that burden. Four companies have developed interceptor drones, with one technology described as the most successful. Ukraine aims to push the interception rate well above 90% this fall. #Ukraine

🔥 Ukraine has a new hunter in the sky. The Alexa Spatium jet-powered interceptor drone has officially entered service with Ukraine’s Armed Forces. It’s designed to chase down russian Geran-3/4/5 jet drones and destroy them by direct impact - “hit-to-kill”

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Zelensky has stated that over the last 4 days Russia has launched roughly 1,500 Geran drones into Ukraine with over 800 being Geran-4/5 variants (which are jet powered). He stated that interceptions of Russian jet powered drones are minimal because of the increased speed and altitude of the drones. Ukraine relies heavily on anti-air gunners and interceptor drones to shoot down Russian Gerans. In previous years, the Russian Geran-2 drones (which were most prominent) were low flying and had a slow cruising speed. This made shooting them down with cheaper means easier. However, these new Russian jet powered Gerans fly too high and fast to be intercepted by anti-air gunners and interceptor drones. This forces Ukraine to have to utilize missile interceptors or fighter jets leading to more successful impacts. Eventually Ukraine will find a solution, but until they do Russia will keep hammering major cities across the country for months to come. For Ukraine's sake, I hope they find a solution before winter.

🔥 Ukraine shoots down Russian “Geran-3” drones with a new interceptor — first footage The debut of the Ukrainian-made Sting drone proved to be highly successful. On November 30, the Stings destroyed several Russian jet-powered “Geran-3” drones. These drones are faster than the regular “Geran” models and more maneuverable, designed to break through air defenses. Russia has been using “Geran-3” in strike packages since the summer of 2025. Now Ukraine has a tool capable of disrupting this tactic.
