The Rock might've not been the most technically gifted wrestler but the dude could sell moves with the best of them.

Piss poor planning by wwf at the time. Austin could have pulled a gun and still been over with the crowd so even with the addition of McMahon he was still gonna get cheered and Rock get the negative reaction. Good match but with Mania in Texas it was inevitable.

The heel turn was the right move, but not in front of that crowd. Had they done that in MSG, it would’ve hit the notes they wanted.

When I was a kid, this broke my heart to the point I went cold Turkey. I didn’t watch for 10years. Only then it was just to see. Never back to a full time watcher.

@KayfabeBroken As much as heel Austin was incredibly entertaining, the timing of this heel turn made absolutely no sense to me
