You missed a huge point! I do agree with the things you said BUT to answer , International students are facing so much hate because a very big chunk of those simply refuse to respect or integrate into Canadian Culture. Instead with their hooligans ways they shamed the community.

It's really disappointing, so many folks can't see the bigger picture and who to blame. Restaurant & Big Box business lobbies, are the ones are demanding "cheaper" labour in the form of students. But this issue isn't really happening in every job or sector, I have lived in Canada for 7 years, worked in a few different departments for a big bank, and no one is being replace by International students, like these haters keep claiming. It is so weird to me, and I am not a student anymore and came before all this mess. The way locals' behavior has changed towards me, I have noticed firsthand. I first ignored them and ignored them and tried focusing on just my life, but the amount of hate if ridiculous. So now I at least try to reason with people and show them who's actually at fault here.

I 'm not an international student but I can understand what they are passing through, because I passed through it in the UK, there is too much pressure and stress international students pass through, it's sadly seeing govt treat them bad or channel blame on them

It’s frustrating to work with families who are recent immigrants that are on Canadian Government websites all day at work and on what’s app talking at lunch reassuring family and friends to send people here who were denied PR to apply as a student. Many come, quit school.

Doug Ford cut OSAP grants from 85% to 25%. His justification: students were abusing the system. New data shows that was not true. Here’s what actually happened: Ontario colleges became completely dependent on international student tuition revenue. When the federal government FINALLY cut international student permits, the colleges lost their cash flow overnight. Ford needed to bail them out. So he slashed student grants. Then RAISED tuition. And blamed the students. Ontario students from low-income families now get 75% of their aid as loans instead of grants. This means more debt & less support. All to bail out institutions that Ford’s own government failed to regulate. He blamed the kids for the problem the system created. He’s not a real Conservative.

Students go unpaid while unlicensed middlemen profit. Fix it or replace it completely. SETAs are corrupt and ineffective. Clean them up, blacklist corrupt officials, and demand job placements. Students are punished with withheld qualifications. Pass the EFF's Student Debt Relief Bill. Declare a Student Housing Emergency. Implement a "One Student, One Bed" policy by 2027. Insourcing and fair pay for workers and lecturers, exploitation must end. Elevate TVET colleges fund, equip, and promote them like universities. What's going on here? Albo and Dan Andrews at a dinner last year (12 Nov) with a wealthy Indian dude who runs a dodgy international college in Australia which has since been deregistered. Were they paid to come to dinner at the Toorak mansion with Rupinder Brar and all these wealthy Indian businessmen? The Prime Minister's Office are not answering questions. The Australian reported that Barkly International College, which caters mainly to Indian students, was deregistered in May after what the Australian Skills Quality Authority described in a statement to The Australian as "significant noncompliance in relation to training and assessment, enrolment and marketing and governance systems" Barkly has appealed the decision and has launched legal action to overturn the deregistration so it can continue to operate. Is it appropriate to be dining with the multimillionaire international college owner while Australia was in the middle of investigating dodgy colleges that are bringing over international students? You can hear in the clip that they are discussing visas.

Not because of a sudden crisis, but because the international student driven funding model finally broke. Enrollment from international students is down nearly 80% in a single year. The UFT, statewide NYSUT, and the AFT devote immense sums towards political activism, oftentimes on issues that have nothing to do with education, and at other times, on things that actively make it worse. Teachers are fed up. Some are leaving the union entirely, since 2018, enrolment of active members has declined at a time when the number of FTE educators increased 7%, and more will probably do so as union leadership broadens the scope of activism into an ever greater range of issues — that members themselves are likely to disagree on. Nor does the phenomenon of unions as political-machines help students — New York City spends an incredible amount of public education in exchange for very poor outcomes. Unions should restore their focus on direct contractual advocacy. Teachers should be able to decide for themselves what political causes they want to support. City Journal
