I'm not going to talk about anything other than specifically what you are claiming. But raising the polling rate to 8000hz lowers joystick latency from around 3.3 at 1000hz to 2.5ms at 8000hz. Whether or not that's significant enough to notice vs other potential downsides is a different matter. But it does make a difference.

Both Edge and regular Dualsense will have slightly lower latency on 8K. I prefer a ps4 controller with a native 8K Hertz Marius Board though. 🫢

Overclocked a PS5 controller to 8k and polling rate was between 750-950. I also tested my Razor Wolverine V3 8k TE controller on 8k in the razor app. The razor controller polling rate was around 7,800 with some tests reaching 7,950.

No, I was just specifying that that controller you need to set it in the software for the polling rate. Yeah, obviously you have to close out of the software whenever you want to play games. Icue is terrible.
