They were cheering Eddie Murphy in 'Coming to America' and Forest Whitaker in 'Last King of Scotland' and 'Black Panther' - Forest had the most diabolical African accent ever but he was celebrated. British actors get most of the work because more of them are classically trained and perform better - they are so damn good that you would never know they were British till they broke character. It’s interesting that I have never seen an African complain that Americans were given the role of Black Panther or coming to America. Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger deserved to play the roles, and all Africans are proud of them. Hopefully, the Black Americans who can’t get it off their chest about Black British actors can learn something.

The other part that people miss, British Actors are cheaper for studios. Better incentives and less rights they have to pay. So they are happy with under-cutting African Americans.
