There is an app called Yuka which you can use to scan the bar-code of a product and it gives you a list of ingredients together with a safety rating of 0 to 100. I scan everything I am thinking of buying now and have changed several items that I buy regularly.

When I lived in Japan, the amount of foods that differed from what is available in the United States was night and day. I was both physically and mentally HEALTHY as can be. No dyes, chemicals, toxins, pesticides, high fructose corn syrup, none of that bullshit. Just clean food.
