When people decided that their online presence was more important than socializing with people in real life, face to face, that's when it all started in a downward spiral. Now people are more concerned about their likes and re-shares on social media than what their family or friends feel and think about them. Society has successfully been removed from the very safety net that kept humankind together. Family & friends. Nowadays it's all triviality, superficiality and absolute shallowness that is treated like a virtue.

What I love about 𝕏 is that there’s rarely any selfies, no reporting on what people had for lunch or perfect pictures of unrealistically perfect lives. No pics at all if you don’t want. I like the news and the debate, the laughs at the downright ridiculous and the memes. Young people have this strange fear of not being ‘seen’, not being validated by random strangers and the truth is, doesn’t matter how many likes you get or how many ‘but you’re beautiful’s come your way. No one else can do that for you. 🤷‍♀️ I feel for them, I really do.
